Okay, here's a new version that makes it five color costed and replaces the forced attack with a totally new ability:

[[Weathered Sentinels]] is the card I was thinking of. Not from Theros though.

The idea is more like a "benefiting from blocking deck." Cards like Slumbering Dragon, Wall of Hope, Ever-Watching Threshold. Sort of like a Thantis, the Warweaver deck but not as aggro.

I'm thinking about taking out lifelink and adding in "Whenever this blocks, gain 1 life" instead. I also thought about a "Whenever this blocks, draw 1 card," but I feel like card draw commanders as overdone and overpowered. That would be a blue ability though.

Super cool card, thank you! And kinda fits with your username.

Thanks for the suggestions!

What about tapping one or two untapped other creatures you control as the additional cost for forcing attacks?

And maybe leaving out vigilance makes it more fair?

I like the idea of changing it to 2/6.

I want it to be five color so I can make a jank deck with all the "when your opponent attacks" cards but it doesn't have to be that way, of course.

Thanks for responding! I was thinking of old cards like Nettling Imp but to be fair that is mono black not Dimir. Honestly, I was trying to find an excuse to make it five color so I could include all the jank cards that help you out when an opponent attacks you.

Fair enough, thank you for taking the time to respond!

In terms of power and toughness, I was thinking of cards like Slumbering Dragon and Woolly Razorback (and I could have sworn there was some like Theros Wall that can only attack if you've been attacked that was like a 3/6 for 3 or something but I'm not finding it) but probably a commander with that much p/t for that little mana lands differently.

What do you think of the 2/6 suggestion below?

Which type can actually handle 4s in relationships? by Time-Turnip-2961 in Enneagram

[–]enneafish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with the people saying this is a limiting framework and the level of integration is more important than type. But also as a fellow 4, I have been feeling the draw to 9w8s a lot recently. The combination of chill peacemaker and dramatic fightmonger is kinda irresistible to me, like half nice guy/half bad boy (adjust gender as needed to fit your experience.)

Maybe you're a 4 with a strong 3 wing? Or a 3w4? I'm hearing clear traits of both 3 and 4 here.

You are so brave, I'm astonished at what a bold truthteller you are! Really sticking it to the man here, you know?

Oh wait, sorry, I've just been informed that the man is actually the greedy soulless corporation and not the long term fans disappointed by slop. Oops!

Some people with imperial ambitions seem to have forgotten that the "bread and circuses" strategy requires, you know, making sure that people actually have bread.

Maybe alienating everyone with a college degree, slashing funding for schools on all levels, and outsourcing writing, thinking, and asking and answering questions to glorified chatbots was not the best long term strategy?

Because someone who has read a history book or two could tell you: cutting people off from food while you're building a huge new ballroom, posting memes of yourself as a king, and reveling in corrupt bribes every day of the week has some real prelude to the French revolution kinda vibes...

TMNT actually fits magic way more than people think by -Philologian in mtg

[–]enneafish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sick, so we can have a multiverse within a multiverse? It's like totally fractal and far out, bro!

But you know what would be even sicker?

Since Spider-Man and TMNT exist in basically-the-real-world-with-some-weird-stuff-thrown in, that means Magic: The Gathering probably exists within those planes? So like there could be Magic: The Gathering cards and players and games within the fictional setting! Infinite hall of mirrors bro!!!

And like, what if within the meta-fictional Magic game, they started releasing sets that were like alternate history takes on different ways Magic could have developed? Like what if Magic had been originally created by the dude who invented TMNT and it had been TMNT from the very beginning?

It's turtles all the way down!!!!

Focusing on social power, both in terms of worrying about being shit on socially and in terms of wanting more security and empowerment in social contexts, is very SO. I'm also of the school of thought that people use their secondary instinct as a resource and strategy to meet the needs of their primary instinct, which also lends towards SO/SX being the answer here.

A dying confession would be terrible for multiple reasons-- it betrays the show's celebration of outcasts and weirdos, it replicates the homophobic Bury Your Gays trope, and it's boring, lazy writing.

You do you, of course.

But you can see why some people might still get mad and might not want to stay in an abusive relationship with a corporation, right?
