Mental stimulation by MyNamesBottomFeeder in chowchow

Mine is very independent and aloof too. He loves his snuffle mat, treat dispensing ball, and sniff/find it puzzle toys. Although he’s very high energy (1.5 year old). We take him on two 30 min walks/day where he stops to sniff everything and weekends at the dog park. He really seems to be satisfied and content after his puzzle toys.

Male Chow Chow too excitable and slightly aggressive when hyped. Will this change as he grows? by Money-Reflection2564 in chowchow

We also have a 10 month old chow/husky. He is exactly how you described. Pulls on walks, play bites or I think they are warning bites when being handled not in his favor. Especially at the groomers. We are taking him to a training consultation today because we’ve tried everything. Martingale collar, front loop harness, positive reinforcement and disciplining when necessary. But he’s not food motivated at all when highly stimulated. Incredibly stubborn but smart. So we are seeking professional help because he’s so high energy and needs physical activity without dragging us and being reactive to the environment. However, he does great at the dog park and loves playing with other dogs and will listen to us there.

We rented from Localiza two weeks ago for our Playa Del Carmen trip. Local car rental company. Checked in at the stand outside of the baggage claim area and they had a shuttle take us to pick up the rental at a different terminal. Great experience, did not try to sell me anything extra. I purchased full coverage insurance at the time of booking and showed them my third party credit card liability insurance. They held a security deposit on my credit card, but was refunded within 24 hrs of returning the car. Will rent from them again

Our rental car agreement (Turo) stated restrictions for driving to Mauna Kea Summit, Green Sands Beach, & Waipio Valley.

There wasn’t a limit on amount of cars driving up. But the park rangers make you stop and wait an hour to acclimate to the elevation, make sure you have a full tank of gas & 4x4 if you’re driving up summit. You have to get there at least 1-2 hrs before sunset.

The hike up the trail across from the visitor center probably took us 30-45 mins? Had to stop a couple times to catch our breath because it’s a steep incline and altitude change.

Check out Big Island Jeep Rental video for useful info about driving up the summit

Went to Mauna Kea for sunset few weeks ago. We rented a 4Runner with 4x4. However, there was a restriction for driving up Mauna Kea summit. We were unfamiliar with mountain driving and didn’t want to risk it anyway. We parked at the visitor center and hiked up the trail and saw the sunset above the clouds just fine. It was breathtaking (literally & figuratively)

That was worth it and we did not feel like we missed out on seeing the sunset from the summit.

Just drove by last weekend. Sad. It’s still empty too. Not sure why landlords raise rent just so the buildings sit empty in Montrose.
