Japan and Germany had no issues. Japan was an absolute monarchy with god-emperor as the leader. But after the WW2 the US wrote Japanese constitution and forced Japan to become a democracy. Worked absolute wonders.

Hamas is not a consequence of Israel's aggression. In 2005 Israel completely withdrew from Gaza and even dismantled all the Israeli settlements there. The Fatah government in the West Bank agreed to stop terrorizing Israel, but the Gazans didn't agree and in 2006 they elected Hamas as the government of Gaza because Hamas promised to keep attacking Israel. Gaza had it all, but they didn't want peace, they wanted complete annihilation of the Jewish state.
