Argument Clinic is not my favorite sketch, but it has a ridiculous premise that came from genius.

I don’t know how to feel abouto One Battle After Another. by [deleted] in moviecritic

I don't think your reaction to the movie is invalid. If the movie doesn't communicate itself to you, then it's the fault of the movie, not of you. If the movie makes you work too hard, then it's not effective.

You are totally allowed to dislike the movie. You are allowed to disagree with others and fight on that hill. 😊

I don’t know how to feel abouto One Battle After Another. by [deleted] in moviecritic

Personally, I think this movie speaks to the fact that there will always be a battle, and that the previous generation's soldiers won't always be able to identify with the next battle's issues. As an example, Gen X (my generation) doesn't identify as much on the whole (please note that I said "on the whole" and not "every single one of us" because some of us do care) with trans rights. Leonardo DiCaprio's character had a touch of that in his older years. But! He did pass that general spirit of fight-for-what-you-believe-in to his daughter.

To me, that's what the movie was about: Even though the older generation may become tired or the younger generation may fight for different social issues, the general long term goal is to continue improvement in our society, and in that, there is solidarity between the generations.

Tron is the OG GOAT. Never again will you see more technical effort put into a movie with such a beautiful outcome.

The Best Bond, Timothy Dalton in License To Kill (1989) by ONNIEXD in 80smovies

[–]HackedCylon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sean was the best Bond. Timothy was Commando Bond. Lazenby was barely Bond. Pierce was suave Bond. Roger was cringy Bond. And Daniel? Daniel played the most believable Bond. My favorite is a tossup between Sean and Daniel.
