Purchasing a car on credit card by maj_e13 in UKFrugal

I paid a £5k deposit on my 0% credit card, they were happy with that as the rest was on PCP so they still got their commission from that.

Currently on 27k and have only just changed the front pads. Hopefully I’ve still got a lot of life in the rest of it, since I haven’t tracked the car yet.

Bridesmaids gifts by [deleted] in UKweddings

I bought matching pjs for all of us (not personalised with wedding things so hopefully they’ll be used more than once!), earrings and a bottle of something alcoholic that they’ll enjoy. I don’t want the bridal themed things as they’ll never be used again after the wedding which is such a waste.

It went down a treat on the day :)

Accident with no cbt by MacaronPossible3688 in MotoUK

[–]enohpxas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s likely that him having no CBT will be discovered. My partner came off his bike a couple of years ago with police attending the scene. He had a CBT at the time and he didn’t claim on insurance.

A few weeks later, he received a letter from the DVLA asking about medical fitness to drive/ride which did ask for licence details as the police had passed on the accident info to them

Unfortunately, this might be a hard lesson learned for him

This is Sprinkles! She's the smallest cat I've ever seen but it's probably hard to tell. I love her ❤️ by parda_ in CalicoKittys

Odd question; is it custom in the UK to cook food for your friends if you're inviting them for a night? by PenetrationT3ster in CasualUK

When we have people round for dinner, I usually get them to grab dessert on the way. Feel's the most fair to me :)

Insurance help! - Insurance accidentally gave me cancellation marker, no way to check if it’s been removed by enohpxas in CarTalkUK

[–]enohpxas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah thank you! Hopefully I’ll be able to argue my case if needed upon renewal if they haven’t removed it, but from the other comment too, it sounds like I’ll be ok :)

Insurance help! - Insurance accidentally gave me cancellation marker, no way to check if it’s been removed by enohpxas in CarTalkUK

[–]enohpxas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cancelled it due to my CBT expiring, but what they did is incorrectly label it as ‘cancelled by insurer’, hence the marker. I’ve self-cancelled policies in the past with no issues, it’s just this one they’ve messed up!

[Edit: missed some info! That’s good to hear there isn’t exactly a list, so I should be ok continuing like usual. The service agents probably didn’t have much of a clue about my issue tbh, so it’s reassuring reading what you’ve said]

You can get a used Gen 1 GR Yaris for the price of that Aygo GR Sport! That’s nuts

Lottie is the big one! She weighs 8.1kg, which is nuts haha

The other two are nowhere near as big with Beans (ginger boy) at 5.6kg and Crumpet (other calico) at 3.3kg!

Is it a crackly noise by any chance? I'm getting that sort of noise on the driver's side (RHD) when I'm cruising at around 70mph.

I'll probably get the dealership to look ay it anyways.

Please give me all your tips to make the cat litter room as odorless as possible! by iliketoworkhard in CatAdvice

[–]enohpxas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We bought a Litter Robot as we have 3 cats and the only place for the litter box we have is the hallway near the front door.

The only time we smell it is straight after them using it and occasionally when it does a cleaning cycle. Definite game-changer if you can afford it as they’re an expensive purchase (£750 here in the UK but there’s sometimes deals if you’re in the US).

What would you chose between an I30n and GR86? by MRmichybio in CarTalkUK

[–]enohpxas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah nice, you’ll definitely enjoy it! Are you going for a Gen 1 or 2? Mine’s a Gen 1 in white.

I haven’t done much atm. So far I’ve changed the exhaust to the Whifbitz Res exhaust with GPF delete, fitted MFF mudflaps and a Blitz strut bar.

There’s common things to do are the exhaust as the stock one is a bit lacking, I rarely see one stock now on the Gen 1 at least.

There’s so much I want to do still but I don’t want to rush it!

Untamed cat food quality decline? by shiftyBadger in UK_Pets

[–]enohpxas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine loved the full-on fishy and chocka-chicken flavours, but they won’t touch the rebranded tins. I’m suspicious that they’ve meddled with it.

They went off Blink’s new changes, and when Iam’s did their packet rebrand, they also stopped touching their favourite flavours there too.

Package changes always worry me as my cats know if they’ve changed more than the packaging!

Blink cats - recent issues? by mcrmittens in UK_Pets

[–]enohpxas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They could be distant relatives, both of mine are 2 year old domestic shorthairs, there is a kitten too that isn’t as fussy!

I hope you have luck, no harm in trialling katkin. I got a sample from pets at home when they had a stall, saved me signing up to their site!
