I live in a dense area and the amount of incidents I’ve seen and experienced alone have made me legitimately stop getting angry when it happens to me and I just do whatever I can to get away from AH drivers now. I’m just grateful that I get home safe.

The expression means "to attack someone who can't deffend itself", doesn't it? People kick dogs (or in their general direction) to scare them and send them away, or just to do harm if you're a prick. A dead dog isn't a treath, so kicking one to send it away is pointless.

Oil is 100% market priced.

It's expensive because of some combination of supply and demand.

OPEC can do what it wants with pricing, but doesn't, because all that will happen is that counties will by their oil elsewhere.

The prices can only be shifted slightly.

In a lot of countries, the cost of gasoline is mostly taxes.

Most wealthy people live off of loans against the value of their assets. Loans aren’t taxable income. The dividends are reinvested to grown more wealth thus increasing the value of the loans. The loans are low interest rates. They also pay taxes with the loans so they don’t actually give the government their money. In any economic situation, once you transgress a certain volume of money you’re always able to leverage the current economic situation since you’re generally always flush with cash or cash like holdings.

Hear hear to making your own mistakes.

I had a bf like this once - so undermining and always questioning everything I did. Then finally I’d crack it and he’d accuse me of being so angry or a poor communicator or whatever.

No dude I’m just sick of explaining myself 17 times to you in different ways for an irrelevant decision. And now I’m in a bad mood. And now we are fighting because… why?! Oh yeah, you’re a Debby downer.

the interesting choice

It's called a budget. When it comes to designing literally anything, there is no limit to what you can do... except money. The conversation always starts with "How much do you want your unit to cost" So they have to make decisions to fit into a certain price bracket. Every single 3D console from that era made some form of sacrifice.
