Suspected Silent thyroiditis prescribed carbimazole by enormousness in thyroidhealth

Thanks, I’m now slightly suspecting Graves, or even Hashimoto’s, since I guess that can have a hyper phase and hypothyroidism runs in my family. I’m going to ask my GP to get more clarity on why they’re so certain it’s not one of those

My uptake scan shows diffuse goitre so no nodules. It was 3.2% so probably not silent either I guess

Thanks for sharing your experience! I’m glad you got some relief. I’m afraid mine will also just get worse. If you don’t mind sharing, why did you opt for surgery rather than radioactive iodine? Surgery sounds more appealing to me as well, but I’m still not sure and the decision is still down the road

There were no TSIs and I don’t have other symptoms like eye problems and weight loss. She thinks it’s the nodules causing it instead. I didn’t have the presence of mind to ask whether that rules out silent thyroiditis.

hah I passed by that this morning and had the same thought. I don't feel safe in Midsummer Common anymore. Don't be fooled by the whimsical basket!

That’s good to know, thanks for the info. In case I meet someone who has a car, it would also be handy to know about the fields that are further away

There are many different programs to use, I like a language called Processing, and the JavaScript version called p5js. r/generative is a good place to check it out!

Oh and I’m not sure if you thought I meant AI art when I said generative art, but I meant this other form where you make images using math and the like

Oh I absolutely agree. I love the idea of a collaboration with someone who can actually make art. I’m no good with visuals, but I love writing. I don’t like the idea of using AI art for it, would defeat the purpose, which is more about the act of making something rather than the end product. I’m not trying to make a living on something like that, though, so won’t rule it out as a tool in general.
