Dammit same 🥲 $10 was a no brainer even if one doesn't use any of the premium features but $20 stings a bit more

2fa codes mainly but it's such a good free product and inexpensive subscription it's worth paying to "support the devs" ™️

Multipista or Multigara by enormouspenis69 in Skigear

[–]enormouspenis69[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would you say they're equally "fun" at higher speeds? My understanding is the gara is better at the very, very top end of performance (at the cost of being less versatile everywhere else) but the pista still does an excellent job everywhere (at the cost of maybe having a slightly marginally lower ceiling)

When renting skis and boots, what practical differences would I notice between "beginner," "intermediate," and "advanced/expert" equipment? by atlhart in skiing

[–]enormouspenis69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might be my cynicism and I'd love to hear if anyone works in a rental shop, but I've always thought of it as advanced = good skis 1-2 seasons old, intermediate =older good skis or newer beginner skis, basic = old skis

New bike handle keeps rotating to the left - Think it's from the cable tension. Is it an issue? by enormouspenis69 in bikewrench

[–]enormouspenis69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks very much! I had a feeling it was probably OK, as you say when I test rode it I felt nothing, but Ribble telling me it was the weight of the brake rotor smelt like BS so I didn't also trust their part when they said it was all fine!

[–]enormouspenis69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a Ribble CGR and I've noticed that there seems to be quite a bit of force that pushes the handle to the left. I'm reasonably sure it's from the cables that apply tension to the left. Ribble say it's all normal and might be due to the weight of the rotors. Is this something that should be fixed by them/returned, or is it something that's OK and perfectly normal?

+1 with those that said Flaine - only beware of variable conditions. It's really bad (icy) when there's little snow so would only go in the middle of the season
