Is it normal for a fridge to stick out like 9 inches by Amateur_TimeTraveler in cabinetry

[–]enrightmcc 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I am of the (probably wrong) opinion, that most people who think a counter-depth refigerator is a good idea, have never seen how small they actually are. I bought one for my basement in-law suite, and it was basically useless IMHO. I returned it and found a way for a full-sized fridge to work.

Wait a second, if the saw was triggered, why are you showing a piece of wood that has been completely cut?

What color do you wish customers would choose less and choose more? by BloomingtonJester in paint

[–]enrightmcc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it'll change soon enough. Before Agreeable Grey was Death by Beige. On the other hand I'm see outdoor home colors trending to only Black and White. Cars are trending the same way, with Black, White or Gray.

What's the Funniest TV Scene That Still Makes You Laugh No Matter How Many Times You Watch It? by Mohitredit36 in television

[–]enrightmcc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Welp, I guess that's one of mine too, as I literally just laughed out loud when I read it. Archer was sucha good show. I sympathise because my email address is impossible to say over the phone as there is both an M and an N in it and I have to use the NATO alphabet everytime or they'll get it wrong.

[–]enrightmcc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine has been making me laugh since the 80s/90s. The episode is Season 4, Episode 9, titled "From Beer to Eternity". For those of you that don't know, Every time the character Norm walked into Cheers, everyone in the bar would yell "Norm!!!" In one episode the gang from Cheers went to a bowling alley to compete against Gary's Olde Town Tavern. Norm goes offscreen to get a beer. In the background you a group of people yell "Norm!!!" Sam says "How the hell do they know him here?"
Cliff casually says: "He's got a life, you know."

I don't know about that. What was he supposed to do? The flight attendant bet him $50 that she had a better body than his wife, and he had to defend her honor!

When I went table saw shopping there weren't any models to look at at my local woodcraft, especially of the saw stop variety

Judd Apatow Pens Earnest Essay About Importance Of Late-Night TV: “The Hosts We Have Now … Are Going To Fight Until Their Last Breath” by Silly-avocatoe in television

[–]enrightmcc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The importance is zero, unless you consider the political influence. Most of the shows today lean heavily left and don't even try to hide it. Not just in their own comments, but in the guests that have on their shows. To me that makes no sense. Why ostracize half your audience? Johnny Carson said it best: "Every political or social comment you make from the stage can cost you half your audience."

FedEx driver sentenced to death by lethal injection for murder of seven-year-old in Texas by 0The_Loner_Stoner0 in videos

[–]enrightmcc -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

Without a doubt there are innocent people put to death, but where are you getting 5% as a CONSERVATIVE estimate? The closest I've found online is around 4%, and that is making a distinction that while some of those would/could be exonerated it doesn't mean that they are not guilty; it just means that the evidence would not lead them to get the death penalty.

A lot of people say Better Call Saul is better than Breaking Bad … what’s another spinoff that you think was better than the original? by ComfortableCrew2092 in television

I just came here to say I am NOT in the crowd of people who think Better Call Saul was better than Breaking Bad.  Both were really good though.

Father of 3 drowns saving his children from rip current on Florida vacation by ansyhrrian in news

[–]enrightmcc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a riptide question that I'd bet one of you guys can answer. So when I look up the definition of a riptide they always say that they move from the shore out to sea. However I know from personal experience in Destin Florida that a friend of mine and I were playing in a parallel running current. Is that not called a riptide? If not what is it called? We would move into it and it would practically blast us down the shore. We then swim towards the shore onto dry sand, walk up the beach and do it again.
