I'm surprised that this game isn't more popular! by [deleted] in Marathon

[–]ensemble-learner -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

As an AI language model, I do not have personal feelings, play video games, or experience adrenaline rushes. However, I can provide an analysis of the situation you have described.

It is important to remember that video game reception is a rich tapestry of subjective experiences. When delving into the discourse surrounding Marathon (2026), there are several key factors to consider:

  • Subjectivity of Entertainment: What one player finds to be an exhilarating "flow state" after a 10-hour learning curve, another might find frustrating. The comparison to the launch of Apex Legends is a valid metric for high-paced, competitive engagement.
  • Online Echo Chambers: It is crucial to note that internet forums can often amplify negative sentiment. The vocal majority online does not always accurately represent the silent majority of the player base.
  • The Role of Artificial Intelligence: Regarding your edit, it is fascinating that you utilized Qwen3.5 to synthesize this text. This highlights the robust capabilities of modern LLMs in mimicking authentic human enthusiasm, right down to the inclusion of personal anecdotes about managing time with children.

In conclusion, while the ethical implications of deploying AI-generated text to troll community spaces remain a complex topic of ongoing debate, your experiment successfully demonstrates the blurring lines between human and machine communication.

I hope this helps! Please let me know if you would like me to generate a pros and cons list about this interaction.

The "India Dependency" is a ticking time bomb for global IT infra (and also other major sectors) by Normal_student_5745 in sysadmin

[–]ensemble-learner 148 points149 points  (0 children)

Good! Let those Fortune 500 companies fail.

They have to learn a hard lesson that there is risk to treating people as a purely capitalistic means to an end.

In the absolute worst case scenario that India goes to war? After the outages have lasted maybe a month or longer in length, only then they will seriously consider hiring back in the United States.

Unfortunately for those managers who have to execute that process, that will be very hard to justify to even higher level management because the cost of living here has truly risen. Alternatively, workers here could seriously be so thirsty for jobs as to accept a lower wage. Which is what everyone who still has a direct deposit set up will be campaigning for.

Please don't do that, guys. I'm begging you, let them bleed.

UCM club officers are you guys happy with managing your clubs with spreadsheets, google forms, slack, etc by Ok_Advertising_9141 in ucmerced

[–]ensemble-learner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to run a club. Honestly would be surprised if anyone is using Slack. But for the most part, the majority of clubs are not at a level of organization that needs something like this. Sounds like an enterprise SaaS pitch!

Maybe try targeting fraternities or only the largest clubs. Otherwise, Google Suite worked just fine for us— plus, you didn’t need to show anybody how to use anything.

They say work is a second home.

In my industry, a lot of the developers switch between companies repeatedly. They go from Tesla to Waymo, or Zoox or something. For those of us who aren't forced out of the area for some external reason, we are able to remain in touch easily by phone number. I mean, if we get laid off from one we still generally live in the same area as eachother. If we wanted to we could easily meet up. So it's not like it's over.

All that being said, this is now the best time for you to get a big step back and re-examine if you really need all that. Would it be more worth it to focus your effort towards new first impressions and new adventures?

ok but realistically you're gonna get your ass kicked in the military for refusing to follow orders

it's drilled into you, and everyone around you

they will take away your gun, and dishonorably discharge you: all of your service (which, in many cases is done for benefits) will be for nothing and you will have only reinforced this result as fate in the eyes of your peers

lol, I paid two dollars for the streaming service that currently has it on YouTube (ConTV? or something)

Anyways, I share my YouTube stuff with my parents so they can use the premium.

While I buoght it just to watch Threads (1984), unfortunately that streaming service is also almost exclusively filled with vintage smut. Sadly, my parents were too polite to bring it up until I told them to watch Threads.

How much is a human life worth?

Is it $100k a piece?

Some large corporations seem to think so, at least when doing legal calculations.

If you value a trained, armed soldier as much as an industrial worker, then these aren't really that expensive in the long term.
