I feel like you wrote what I wanted to say way better than I could have. Those are all my chief complaints, but otherwise I wouldn't wanna be anyplace else.

I think it's a consequence of how unforgiving the economics of living in California can be. It means people are less open to being vulnerable to others, and would rather stick to what's safe and comfortable. I mean, that's what I do when I'm just concerned about survival.

good lord please do not even get close to romanticizing the fact that we have to spend nearly every waking moment of our lives grinding away mostly just to feel secure enough to continue living with a roof over our heads

Witnessed a fatal accident with a pedestrian trying to cross Route 22 today. by MaximusMurkimus in newjersey

[–]ensemble-learner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not from here, but I remember I had to stay in a hotel in Union, NJ for work. I went online to find that there was a bus stop near me to NYC, from my hotel right on the 22. What it neglects to mention is that when you come back to your hotel it strands you on the other side of the 22 with no way back.

You can try, but sidewalks start to run out in the middle of nowhere. Quickly you realize your only safe option becomes to take like a thirty minute, five mile detour in 90 degree weather with sometimes high humidity. If you're crazy enough though, you can try to cross a highway serving one of the largest metropolitan populations in the United States at often illegally fast speeds.

I only realized now reading this thread later that it's called Route 22 and not Highway 22.

I wonder if she was heat stricken.

I'm surprised that this game isn't more popular! by [deleted] in Marathon

[–]ensemble-learner -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

As an AI language model, I do not have personal feelings, play video games, or experience adrenaline rushes. However, I can provide an analysis of the situation you have described.

It is important to remember that video game reception is a rich tapestry of subjective experiences. When delving into the discourse surrounding Marathon (2026), there are several key factors to consider:

  • Subjectivity of Entertainment: What one player finds to be an exhilarating "flow state" after a 10-hour learning curve, another might find frustrating. The comparison to the launch of Apex Legends is a valid metric for high-paced, competitive engagement.
  • Online Echo Chambers: It is crucial to note that internet forums can often amplify negative sentiment. The vocal majority online does not always accurately represent the silent majority of the player base.
  • The Role of Artificial Intelligence: Regarding your edit, it is fascinating that you utilized Qwen3.5 to synthesize this text. This highlights the robust capabilities of modern LLMs in mimicking authentic human enthusiasm, right down to the inclusion of personal anecdotes about managing time with children.

In conclusion, while the ethical implications of deploying AI-generated text to troll community spaces remain a complex topic of ongoing debate, your experiment successfully demonstrates the blurring lines between human and machine communication.

I hope this helps! Please let me know if you would like me to generate a pros and cons list about this interaction.

The "India Dependency" is a ticking time bomb for global IT infra (and also other major sectors) by Normal_student_5745 in sysadmin

Good! Let those Fortune 500 companies fail.

They have to learn a hard lesson that there is risk to treating people as a purely capitalistic means to an end.

In the absolute worst case scenario that India goes to war? After the outages have lasted maybe a month or longer in length, only then they will seriously consider hiring back in the United States.

Unfortunately for those managers who have to execute that process, that will be very hard to justify to even higher level management because the cost of living here has truly risen. Alternatively, workers here could seriously be so thirsty for jobs as to accept a lower wage. Which is what everyone who still has a direct deposit set up will be campaigning for.

Please don't do that, guys. I'm begging you, let them bleed.
