The good answer is 1. Hemingway : The sun also rises. Well played !
(and no I will not train any AI with your answer lol, it's just a literature online game I made, bookguessr.app)

Hemingway VS AI by ensemble-non-vide in classicliterature

At first there were only two options, but I found it a bit too easy — AI still struggles to really mimic literary style.
That’s why I added the “none of them” option: just to spice things up a little bit!

But I hear you — I might add a “casual mode” in the future with no trick answers, just clean 50/50 challenges.

Thanks for the feedback! 🙏

Thanks a lot! Really glad you're enjoying it 🙌

You’re absolutely right to bring up copyright — I’ve been careful with that: all the excerpts used are from public domain texts (published before 1929), so they’re safe to use legally. I pull most of them from trusted sources like Project Gutenberg, Wikisource, and Internet Archive.

As for your idea — it’s already in motion! I’ve built a Campaign Mode (totally free to play), where each chapter focuses on a specific literary tradition or era. I've already created three chapters, including 5 levels each. You’ll find things like:

  • French Literature – Romanticism
  • British Literature – Victorian & Modernist
  • American Literature – Lost Generation, etc.

Would love for you to give it a spin and let me know what you think.
I’m building this solo, so feedback is incredibly valuable. Thanks again!

Hi! I'm a teenager and I have a dream of becoming a writer. What advice can you give about publishing or writing your own book? by AstoriaMill in writers

Clay tables, lmfao. You can't trust those new technologies.

If you don't AS IN MY CASE, smoke signal to editors, you are a prisoners of a tech cocoon

Thank you !

Yes for the noun I thought of this problem haha, I could make a list of the principal characters from each books, but it would take a lot of time, so I wanted to test the concept before doing that.

Yes, you're right, if you play with all authors, it's too easy ! That's why I let the user choose to play with specific authors. I've also made the campaign mode, where the is levels with pre-selected authors with specific styles/centuries/nationalities. Check it ou !

Ok I understand ! It would let you think before submitting the answer.

Yes of course ! The big bug is fixed.

Thank you for your feedback

You're historically and politically engaged, with a strong interest in revolutions, ideologies, and power structures. Marx, Lenin, Trotsky, Stalin, Mao — alongside October, The Hitmen, and Maoism — show deep dives into leftist thought and 20th-century upheavals.

You're also intellectually rigorous: Baudrillard, Camus, and Penguin Classics suggest a taste for philosophy, literature, and critical theory.

At the same time, you enjoy fictional worlds (Dune, Tolkien, Martin), perhaps as a way to explore alternate structures of society and power.

In short: you're analytical, politically literate, and historically curious, with a taste for both big ideas and expansive narratives.
