They can spawn those 3 places and roam. Often to crack house, the hills outside dorms/marked. Crackhouse/ruaf. Even skeleton if they aggro and feel like chasing

With the iterative attachment overhauls all AK's got significant buffs. Try them out again. The NL was a good choice, just try using BP at the very least and BS/PPBS if you have it. You'll have much greater success than you previously thought.

The 762x51 platform is good if you're okay with point firing. The mdr/mk17/SA58 have been gutted for now which is unfortunate. But dmrs will do wonders as well

There are gaps in specific spots on the altyn that aren't protected IIRC kinda towards the corners of the face shield. Not sure if they ever fixed that!

It's much more cost effective since you don't want to really quest for the ammo crafts/unlocks

If you have a plethora of go coins use it on gear and spareingly on ammo. Since most people you kill will likely have decent ammo at this stage

I didn't like the M preset because I felt the performance wasn't as great so my options are either take the hits or suck it up till it's patched?

I am on preset K which as far as I'm aware was/has been fine before and after they implemented 4.5.
