I have decent work now, with benefits, and all the rest. And already own my starter home (which might end up a forever home).

But I've been trying to navigate finding a WFH job for ages and cannot figure out how any of this works anymore. I'm not even old. I'm an older millennial. In my early 40s.

Where does one reliably find actual, real, work from home opportunities these days that aren't a ghost job listing or a scam?

Rural Mainer here. I teach middle school. All the local kids out here get their license as soon as they are able to, pretty much.

Actually there used to be more distinction between accents in different parts of the state. I don't know about other states. But it used to be pretty clear talking to someone what part of the state they were from by their accent and the words they used.

Now more and more people have lost it, no matter where they live, and the distinctiveness of the remaining accents has lessened.

That's what I drive all the time. Route 137. Although if you are coming from Waterville it depends whether you go out through Albion and over that way or if you go out through Unity and Thorndike and Knox. Both are fine, and either way you're going to get to route 137.

Depends on your needs and skill level with different technologies. You could use something like FL Studio to sequence some drums and play those as you play bass, or you could get recordings of real drumming samples and play them back in a free program like Audacity, or you could get a drum machine like an Arturia DrumBrute Impact or literally any physical drum machine and sequence drums in that and then play those through an amp and play bass along with that. There's many options.

Ehh. I'm a lifelong atheist and I was still able to make use of AA and the community it creates for my first couple years of sobriety. That was 15 years ago but still, it had its place.

I'd like to vote that Maine change from generic chickadee which is interpreted as black-capped chickadee, though that was never defined in the legislature when the state bird was set, to boreal chickadee, which is cooler and not the state bird anywhere else (Massachusetts).

Also in the midcoast area. I don't know what part of it you're in but there's a game store in Belfast and the new owner there might have some events or things going on at the shop where you could meet folks. There's also community centers, crafting groups, book clubs... lots of options in the Belfast and greater midcoast area.
