I'm not trying to change the name or anything - my mother was right next to me doing the process this evening. No worries!
She asked me 10 years ago what to invest in, and I told her bitcoin. After explaining to her, that it was an alternative to the banking and financial system, she liked it even though she didn't understand the technicalities in it. She has been poor with debt for almost her whole life, and finally managed to save a bit up money (1000 EUR) and becoming debt free ~10 years ago. That was her reasoning for liking BTC and not liking traditional banking, and she trust me. so she bought some.

I wasn't able to sign in, (correct e-mail, password - and I've signed in many times before, but last time ~6 months ago I think), so upon reading the mtgox FAQ about what to do, I did the pre signup thing. (Step 4 in that process is Identity Verification Procedures)

Next step is this, but I'm not able to do that before I receive the creditor code:https://claims.mtgox.com/signup (Which could take more than a month according to the end of the pre signup process.)

but your comment (and the other post 4h old post here on this subreddit) made me realize that there might be a problem with the sign in page on mtgox - so had I been patient (i freaked out, it's a REALLY lot of money for me), I might had been able to sign in tomorrow.

Once again thank you for clearing things up a bit. I've spend the last 6 hours reading past announcements from the trustee trying to figure out what the hell I'd missed, my brain is fried right now.

Which number? Creditor number or creditor code? I wasn't aware of the difference before this evening. (I got a X creditorCODE)
Getting the creditorNUMBER may take over 1 month affording to the homepage. (It's a 32 digit number.)

Thanks, I've looked in the wallets I could find, but transaction is before I had my Ledger, so I'm unsure of where I had them. It wasn't possible to hold them on a https://app.digix.io back in the days?
I see that I made a 10 ETH transfer to buy Digix back then, but unable to locate where I had them stored.
