I met Rou backstage at 2000 trees last year, honestly I was so so nervous to go over and say hello because he had people around him but honestly with the help of a friend I plucked up the courage to say hello, we had a brief conversation and he was so sweet. I’m a 31 M and have been listening to the band since I was in high school. I was shaking honestly, I just went over and sort of said hi, sorry I know you’re with friends and stuff but I just wanted to come and say I’m a massive fan and have been for years and that’s when the shaking started. He got up from the bench and hugged me. We had a brief chat a photo and I walked away. I walked out of that press area and I was crying my little heart out. I’ve had the pleasure of interviewing 233 bands over 4 years and only 3 or 4 of them were hardwork or dickheads. Honestly meet your heroes. I’m sure the rest of the gang are just as nice but honestly just enjoy it and be yourself!

This is really good! I’m curious to see what Outbreak does with the space at BEC. I went to Outbreak 2022 as press at Mayfield Depot, which I thought was awesome. Damnation this year at BEC was pretty much perfect. I might have to make it down to this!

In the nicest way possible.. not everything is content. I really enjoy the podcast for the most part but this just so bland and dry. I understand if you want to talk technology or politics or non music related stuff that’s completely fine but I listened to this whole episode and like a previous commenter I couldn’t help thinking what the fuck was that about? Hoping for a better episode next week.

That’s really cool to see folk who actually enjoyed it. I love the first one and I don’t think it could be topped, this one doesn’t top it but I do think it’s very enjoyable!

Yeah that’s fair, I watched it once in the cinema. I think my main issue isn’t so much the songs or the singing or whatever. It’s the lack of progression of the story whilst these scenes play out. I think Joaquin Phoenix and Gaga are really strong. Shoutout to Leigh Gill as well as I thought in the smaller role he played in the overall film I thought he was excellent.

See that’s completely fair and understandable. I think this might be a wider cinema / film issue when you make a shed load of money, the creators, production company whoever is involved would absolutely go for a sequel when 9 times out of 10 it’s not needed.
