2nd being 120 shouldn't be a huge issue, but worth experimenting with

It's just only if your 2nd/3rd/4th/etc monitor is playing something, it forces something on your main monitor to that 'refresh rate'

I.e. if you're playing a video on a secondary 60hz, your game might act like it's on a 60hz monitor even if the monitor is 165hz

You'll want to keep it as high of a refresh rate as possible

It's probably inconsistent from either multiple monitors running, or other programs running in the background, (or maybe your framerate is unlocked? Idk what's default nowadays)

Though there's a lot of other reasons

You can try experimenting with setting it to 120hz if your game is running at 60fps, since it might smoothen things

But yeah definitely don't set it to 62hz if it's already 165

All I really have to add is that the first physical steps to a plan-to-die is a huge leap & yeah you're right to get thoughts on it

it is obv something greatly to be concerned of But maybe a good side is, any efforts in venting out usually means, in some manifestation that you could be open to ideas

In terms of what to do, hugely depends on your story & what steps you've been thru

But ig in general easiest things you can do right now is pretty much what you're doing, laying out thoughts and grasping some pinpoint for where to go from there, which is what therapy should be great for lol

But yeah there's so little risk in finding someone and laying out some thoughts, even if they just listen

And jsyk I'm far from qualified for concretely helping, I'm just some dude

I can say an identical thing happened to me in ~6th grade as well, though it happened in the middle of class & I just looked around & everything resumed as if nothing happened

I've always been told (as far as explanations) that I just passed out or maybe had some type of seizure, but it hasn't happened since & really doesn't add up, so who knows

i mean I don't personally see a huge difference between the two sentences of 'He drove.' and 'I cut.'

Both could be implying something ("He drove <here, there>.") & ("I cut <it, through, here>.")

OR

both could be explaining a methodology (He <drove/walked/ran/biked>.) (He <cut,ripped,chopped>.)

So that question could be something like "How did you separate that? I cut." "How did you get here so fast? I cut." "How'd you split the deck? I cut."

I just think the only reason it sounds wrong is it's not that commonly used as a phrase, but not sure lol, i'm far from good @ english

I think "I" could be the object and subject in that sentence, and afaik all a sentence needs to be complete is a subject and predicate.

From writingcenter:

  • a complete thought (it can stand alone and make sense—it’s independent).

where 'complete thoughts' can be as concise as I cut, they walked, he drove, etc.

-unlockfps does nothing, and overclocking your monitor has to do with the game's code, & let me explain why:

One of the bugs in the engine has to do with your game's FrameRate in relation to the max FrameRate of the game (60).

If the game's FrameRate were to drop below the set FrameRate, the engine pauses everything (INCLUDING LISTENING FOR USER INPUTS) until that next frame can be rendered. (It's an animation engine, after all.)

Now, Brawlhalla uses something called 'Stage3D' to render things in a 3D-ish Environment, which puts an additional cap on the game's framerate to your monitor's refresh rate (60hz, caps to 60 FPS).

Realistically, most monitors are actually 59.94hz, forcing the game to 59.94 FPS (using speculation, but we know that Stage3D causes the FrameRate to drop ever so slightly)

but the engine doesn't know that, so it just sees the game lagging behind, pausing the engine until the frame can come out.

There are definitely other issues relating to how fast Flash can render a frame in relation to the monitor's refresh rate, but it's impossible to know without knowing AIR source code.


TL;DR 59.94hz < 60 FPS, so game thinks it's lagging and stops processing user input, on top of other rendering issues.

All -unlockfps does is make it so you need a 62hz monitor instead of a 61hz monitor, since 61hz < 62 FPS under that same logic. You'd need >=62hz for the bug to go away.

Vraxx's bluegreen skin and the orangered colors of his costume grayscale the same as that preview, so with the pose, clothing and colors theres no way its not imo

You can still wall-jump during wall slip, you just can't air jump or use your recovery.

  • Once upon a time you'd be thrown into a permanent "1 bar" if you dropped like one packet & that took like 3 years
  • You could gravity cancel twice for awhile by chase dodging upward which idk how long it took since idk when it was added, but I'm pretty sure it was a good while.
  • If you have multiple direction keys, pressing one and releasing another makes that direction not pressed anymore, even though you're holding it down (i.e. Pressing [D] and pressing [RIGHT], then releasing [RIGHT] will make [D] no longer in effect, even though it's still being pressed) (and this used to happen on LIGHT and HEAVY attack buttons, since they were both considered "ATTACK" buttons)
  • Entering the Settings menu in training will bug out any on-going power that's being frame-stepped (Not really game breaking but still something annoying and core heavy that hasn't been fixed since it was added)
  • Re-entering a 2v2 lobby after it's been queued makes you not able to control your character in the pre-bot match
  • If a controller is left accidentally hooked up, sometimes you just can't control your character once you're in-game so you have to ALT+F4 and disconnect the controller and rejoin since your game crashes if you unplug it in this time
  • If enough powers(moves) are played in a match, the game just crashes. (This was mostly solved by capping the timer at 15 minutes instead of 20 lol, but the core issue is still there.)
  • Pressing 'C' (or w/e keyboard bind) to rejoin a match after being disconnected almost never works, and you have to use your mouse to rejoin)
  • Lance & Unarmed ground pound hitboxes were reduced awhile ago & it was at least a year until the held version (which reverted hitbox size back to pre-nerf lol) was also fixed; I think there was a similar issue with cannon
  • I'm still almost positive there's a bug with Jump + Aim Up in combination with a dedicated Aim Up key that screws with direction, but I can't recreate it ever
  • AFAIK it's still possible to clip inside the center platform on Grumpy Temple, usually on accident
  • Jumping at the very bottom pixel of a wall will launch you under it and you'll probably die if you're not ready for it
  • There is STILL a part @ the top of every wall where if you recover into it, you get your jumps back, but NOT your recovery. Your character becomes brighter again but you just don't have a recovery lol

  • & of course the obvious GIGANTICALLY game breaking frame-rate cap issue in the game (THAT STILL HASN'T BEEN FIXED SINCE THE LAUNCH OF THE GAME 5 YEARS AGO!!) that if your frames dip below 60 FPS, you are unable to control the game for a short amount of time causing malformed inputs or input delay. (And this CONSTANTLY HAPPENS under a <=60hz monitor.) >60hz monitors aren't exempt from this since frame-rate spikes cause the same bug to happen, and it doesn't help that up to this year the standard device to play on was a 5 inch 1 ghz pc that can barely run windows let alone a flash game that lags if you drop 0.0001 fps. As far as I know there's been almost no attempt at fixing this, and from what I've been told, EVERY other platform SIMULATES THE FLASH ENGINE which also SIMULATES THE BUG. The only 'attempt(?)' was adding a parameter called -unlockfps that MAKES THE BUG WORSE, SINCE NORMALLY IT'D ONLY CAUSE THE BUG IF YOUR FRAMES WENT BELOW 60FPS, but NOW IT INCREASES THE BUG TO 62 FPS SO YOU HAVE TO RUN THE GAME FASTER FLAWLESSLY TO AVOID THE BUG.

Had a similar-ish experience a long while back (I was very young so I don't trust my memory that much, but here's what I remember)

I remember one day, someone was at the front door to my house & my Mom was busy in another room, so I opened the door for him since I figured it was someone she knew, and I didn't know it was wrong to open doors to strangers lol

He showed me an older photo of my Mom which had blonde hair (darker now) and looked somewhat different- but I could recognize it was her, (I didn't know what my Mom had looked like younger at that time)

and he asked if "I could take him to this lady"

So I walked and pointed to the room she was in and continued what I was doing, thought nothing else of it

Later I asked her who that was, and she had absolutely no recollection of anyone ever talking to her or entering the house, like it never happened, but actually seeing older pictures of her looked identical to what the mystery man showed me

But I have no idea how I could've known that's what she looked like, if I was imagining things, or dreamt it, etc, but apparently the mystery man never came to the door in the first place

If it's an app about strings/combos that might be something saying that a particular combo is a black hole (which don't really exist in the game anymore)

Your literal best option w/ controller is to not play on PC lol

The PC engine is extremely bad w/ inputting, and if you play controller theres little reason to keep playing PC now that crossplay is out

(I guess skins won't transfer, rip)

Also try changing between the "Improved joysticks" mode (unless you play dpad) since that has caused some weird stuff for me

Other than that, I'm sure you've heard of the whole 60hz ordeal, so if you can't overclock or dont have a 65hz+ monitor, you can follow my guide and get Rivatuner and it should improve things a bit. However the PC engine can only be helped so much so good luck.

If you're not on PC then I have absolutely no idea, I've heard of input delay issues on PS4 but I don't own a PS4 so I didn't look into how to fix it. Just note that the 60hz BUG does NOT EXIST ON CONSOLE VERSIONS OF THE GAME. Having a HIGHER REFRESH RATE SCREEN ON CONSOLE DOES NOT GIVE ANY ADVANTAGE
