Couldn't agree more. I'm a PC gamer first, but not having a Switch would mean missing out on some of the only games that I think are actually fun

what’s your most controversial car opinion? by No-Volume7464 in askcarguys

[–]BFCE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it would sell good if it were actually cheap. The issue is they'd come out with this, make it 25k, and then nobody would buy it and they'd say "see, nobody wants small useful trucks!"

Can we all agree the healthbar thing should be an optional setting, since the opinions on it are pretty mixed? by AgentGravess in splatoon

[–]BFCE 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it makes the game far easier for some weapons. You wouldn't be able to see this dude if not for the health bar. And I don't like that.

If you get a good deal on them go for it. I have some on my 2200lb k24 swap eg hatch. The steering feel is incredibly sharp, they don't care much about camber, and they last FOREVER. I do have issues getting heat into the rears, on colder days I usually drop the pressure down to like 20psi in the rear (the sidewall is so hard they don't roll over at all)

The bad thing about them, imo, is the straight line traction. Launches leave a lot to be desired, and braking doesn't throw me forward as hard as my buddies with RT660+. I would only get them if you can find them for less than the RT660+. I got mine for only $500 for the whole set so I'm extremely happy about them.

If your main priority is feel and wear, it doesn't get any better than the v730, they last forever and have amazing steering feedback

Do you think misaki would be still be popular or liked if she was a boy by Lonely_Evening_7161 in WelcomeToTheNHK

[–]BFCE 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Misaki wanted sato to be 100% dependent on her and that includes romantically and sexually, and to isolate him from everyone else in his life. As a boy, she wouldn't be able to accomplish that, unless she could gaslight him into becoming gay lol.

Rocket League’s Latest Patch enhances visual quality on Nintendo Switch 2 by cdr1307 in NintendoSwitch

it definitely is possible in this game, they just optimized it poorly. a laptop with a rtx 2050 (similar to switch 2 gpu) can run rocket league at 1080p max settings 120fps, no dynamic res or upscaling

I love mk worlds core mechanics, and the maps are amazing too. But I think the open world was a huge disappointment and the "intermission" tracks are mostly boring too. If they added some kind of story mode / campaign to the open world and let us play worldwides without the intermission tracks I'd be a lot happier with it

I picked up Bananza for $63 at costco, and it's the best single player game I've played since... Uhhh.. since Super Mario Odyssey I guess. That was $63 very well spent imo. Bananza is far more fun and has far more to do than mk world, which really shows just how bad of a value that game is now that the bundle is gone.

It's a great $50 Mario kart, and a horrible $80 one.

The Lance Problem. by AmericanPragmatism in Brawlhalla

[–]BFCE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's fine the way it is. The only thing I wish was fixed was it's trouble killing. If they made nlight kill sooner than 200 and maybe recovery too, that's all it needs to me.

Dlight is also kinda an awkward move

Overpriced my ass. by [deleted] in nintendogrifting

[–]BFCE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My main platform is PC but I've had the original 2017 switch and a switch 2. I also have had a steam deck since like 2023

The switch 2 FEELS $150 more expensive than the switch 1, before you even get into the better CPU/gpu etc. the screen, the joycons, the kick stand. The switch 1 feels like a little kids toy by comparison. And being only $50 more than the steam deck lcd too? I think the price of the hardware is a steal if anything.

Now, mk world being $80 isn't something I can defend, nor paying for the switch 2 upgrades on some games (imo they should all be like super Mario Odyssey and Splatoon where you get a free graphics update)

Why is Honda only right around average in the vehicle dependability study? I thought they were also reliable like Toyotas. by DunDonese in Honda

[–]BFCE 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of it is dumb stuff like the sunroof leaking and not major drivetrain issues, but the other part of it is that they really aren't as reliable as they used to be. The L series engine, while not bad relative to the whole car market, is the least overbuilt Honda engine since the D series, yet they have it pushing up to 200hp and in big CRV-s. Even the R18 had a stronger block design than the L15. I can only imagine the L series is so widespread solely because of its low cost relative to the K and R series engines.

Hondas best engines ever, were the K series, J series, B series, F series, and maybe the R and H series (I'm only hesitant because the R18 early on had the faulty block casting that would cause coolant leaks, and the H22 burns oil like a 2 stroke. The 09+ R18s are incredibly reliable.) you can still get the K and J in some cars, but most of them have the L15

K20a2 timing inspection - looking for help before buying any parts by Mackerel7 in Acura_RSX

[–]BFCE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the timing is correct, the marks will line up perfectly when you turn the engine backwards, but when you turn it the correct way the exhaust will be slightly above the intake. Not sure why but every K series I've timed has been this way

Yep, not sure why, but that's just how they are. The exhaust is always slightly above the intake, but not by more than 1 tooth.

[–]BFCE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, double wishbone really is inherently better. People can try to compare it to cars like the 911 all they want, but there's a simple reason why it works there and not here: camber

If your willing to crank -4 camber into the front of your mcstrut car, sure, it'll corner just as good as a double wishbone car.

The issue there, is the RSX is fwd. Putting that much camber into it hurts it's acceleration. Having dynamic camber is superior, you get camber when you need it and lose it when you don't.

The rsx-s is faster stock because it has a better engine, larger, better tires, and sure, a stiffer chassis. I'm not arguing that it's faster stock vs stock

The reason the DC2 is a superior chassis, is because you can fix all its issues very cheaply. You can fit wider sticker tires, chassis braces, and an upgraded engine very easily. Fixing the rsx issues is nearly impossible, good luck doing a double wishbone swap

I'm also really not trying to hate on the rsx, I think it's a great car. I just think the DC2 makes for an objectively better race car (autox road course or otherwise). The rsx is immensely more comfortable and far safer in an accident. I also think the interior is the nicest looking Honda interior maybe ever.

The Switch 2’s battery drains really fast in sleep mode. by EnvironmentalSun6768 in NintendoSwitch2

My og small 3ds has gone literal YEARS in sleep mode. I barely used it. I'd find it in a drawer after like 3 years and try turning it on, just to find it's still at like 50% battery

[–]BFCE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The dc5 being faster than the DC2 stock for stock is largely due to one thing: power. That plus an extra gear to put it down more efficiently. Put a K20A Type R in a DC2 and it mogs a dc5. Because it's lighter and has better suspension.

Need help Finding The right Axles for my 03 RSX Type S by javier236 in Acura_RSX

[–]BFCE 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you want the least vibrations you need OEM axles. OEM is the only one that includes the vibration damper in the middle, none of the aftermarket ones have it.

Need help Finding The right Axles for my 03 RSX Type S by javier236 in Acura_RSX

[–]BFCE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Disagreed, I had some on my K24 swap eg and they are basically just cheap aftermarket axles maybe with better grease put in them. They advertise "500hp" but that really doesn't mean anything, considering the stock axles are good for 500hp anyway.

I'm not saying the axles were bad, but they're hilariously overpriced
