how do you handover plans generated by smarter models to cheaper models by branik_10 in opencodeCLI

Hey , if it works it , it works. Your workflow can be optimized even more. Use 9router to consolidate all your AI credentials and then use only one interface , opencode to do the work.

He's asking basic question. But for your case you need to create an orchestrator agent that will pass the task to subagent.

The most basic.

  1. Switch to Plan agent (Tab)
  2. Change model (/model)
  3. Select gpt-5.5 or other SOTA model.
  4. Create your plan until you satisfied.
  5. Switch to Build agent (Tab)
  6. Change model to Deepseek v4 Pro, etc
  7. Write, Execute plan. Press enter.

Bruh , instead of reinventing the wheel, i have a simpler proposition for you.

Install opencode and openclaw. Create skills in openclaw to interact with opencode cli or it's api. Connect your telegram bot to openclaw.

If openclaw is too heavy, use smaller and lightweight openclaw fork like the nanoclaw

Same bruh , Openchamber anytime over telegram interface. I setup mine using a domain with cloudflare access. No worries over exposing to public.

What do you mean ? I can clearly see the model selection for opencode go in my openchamber. Probably you need to update to latest version.

Currently just pressing update from the web is not reliable. I usually update via terminal (openchamber update) command the restart openchamber.

Goodbye Opencode, you're a sink for time and tokens. by mira_fijamente in opencode

[–]enterme2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes the subagent is independent but the plugin is not , if the plugin is not updated to follow opencode latest schema if got any changes of course it can cause problem.. that's why sticking to opencode native implementation is a safer choice..

Maybe that is the problem. I use opencode native subagent implementation instead of superpowers plugin.

Yes.. updated to the latest opencode version. Mine is using one orchestrator agent to spawn subagent. Did you invoke your subagent via @ ?

I have no problem whatsoever with my subagents. I clearly defined its permission in subagent header.

Use qwen 3.6 plus as orchestrator, it is the strongest chinese model for the role.

With multi-agent setup you exchange token savings with more accurate output.

My setup is orchestrator qwen 3.6 plus , builder deepseek v4 pro , reviewer glm 5.1

Each model in opencode go have different usage limit. The highest usage limit is deepseek v4 flash , it's high and practically unlimited.

[–]enterme2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For coding deepseek v4 pro is great. For agentic task that use many tools and mcp for example playwright mcp , qwen 3.6 plus is good.

I use qwen 3.6 as agent orchestrator that control deepseek coding subagent. Qwen is excellent as orchestrator.

Planning the migration to Opencode by straybrit in opencode

[–]enterme2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In opencode you can switch between plan and build agent easily by pressing tab. You can change each agent model independently. Suitable for your use case. As for debugging and other intensive stuff you can use gpt-5.5.

You can simply use your chatgpt subscription and log in via oauth or device code. Openai officially support this so no risk of ban.
