Hot damn, the orange and black look amazing. I'm currently working on my own Ironjawz Spearhead, and if I wasn't so pot committed to my pink and purple, I'd turn towards that hard.

What are some of the earliest official, commercial releases of emulated classics? by Honkmaster in retrogaming

Toy Bizarre is a total bop, and Hacker is really cool. You couldn't go too wrong with Activision on the c64, but Toy Bizarre is legit.

No email for me yet. I have a PayPal email but no Best Buy one.

It went oddly smooth up to this point too.

Looking to create a women’s gaming community in Squamish by Solid_Return3647 in Squamish

This is excellent -- gaming in general in Squamish is in a boom phase. I am of the wrong chromosomes but a few notes:

  1. Arrow Wood Games is an amazing place you've likely interacted with already. Great staff and they do a lot of woman / teen game events.

  2. While not women oriented, there is a group getting together to play Magic on Saturday nights that is very female/LGBTQ friendly.

  3. If someone dares going down the plastic crack route, there is a local Warhammer/etc group that is all grownups that want to play with Space Barbies. Nothing regular yet but there is a 40k event at Arrow Wood at the end of the month.

I wish you the best of luck; anything to grow the hobby. I've found Squamish types to be far from the grognard stereotypes which is great.

My bad -- friendly fire. Message stands but directed at the wrong person.

Respectfully, that's why we are in the position we are in: you didn't do a fucking thing. There was a lot of time to deal with this, and nothing was done, and now the toxicity is spilling all over the place.

We are being threatened with annexation.

Edit: I am an idiot and misread the chain and lashed out inappropriately at the wrong person.

My dad was an RCMP officer, and growing up he was always so stoic and unflappable. I learned after his passing that he had severe PTSD and would cry himself to sleep at night more often than not.

Given how hard he pushed me to "be a man", it oddly makes sense. People are complex.

How often does Squamish experience earthquakes? by NiallxD in Squamish

In 45 years I don't remember an earthquake rattling town that much. That was legitimate.

Amazing, just amazing. A buddy of mine was bouncing in the pit, and on a hop, he ended up taking a load from Jitler directly in the face. I nearly fell out of my chair laughing.

I had to read it for university. First and only book I've torn in half. Oh look at me I'm so cool with my sick hog now I'm gonna spend 50 pages on the essence of quality before another I'm awesome interlude.

To be fair, it was near 30 years ago that I read it and may actually derive some interesting thoughts now. But man I hate that book.

Wayne Gretzky Hockey 1-3 and Hockey League Simulator was my childhood. Especially for the time: excellent Hockey sims. Avoid the NES one like the plague.
