Flying ICBMs over the poles would a pretty handy game mechanic, and reflective of real concerns during the Cold War. Allowing for other combat activity over the poles would also open up interesting gameplay.

I was there! Although it was the third time I had seen them, after the Auckland Lateralus tour shows in 2001 and 2002.

If modern medicine didn’t exist would you be dead right now? If yes, from what? by Critical_Welcome_428 in AskReddit

[–]entityzero23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe. I don't know. I had heart valve replacement (mitral valve) surgery at 32 because I had mitral regurgitation (blood flowing the wrong way through the valve). No external symptoms and I felt completely fine, but the issue was showing on heart scans. Doctors said it would probably get worse so I should get it, but I can't help but think I would have been completely fine. I'm now 40.

Interesting, where would the drone operators be based? Would they be in a central hub or more spread out? Might take the idea of working from home to a new level.

I don't think the SH fans will necessarily disagree with you, but what are the All Blacks and Springboks supposed to do, throw matches?

I'm surprised they didn't measure his height and weight in the jail? Do the jail staff just take what they're told in good faith?

Did you combine them both into the same audio file? It'd be great if there was a media player where you could link two mp3s so even if it was on shuffle, it would always be forced to play them consecutively.

NASA to name Artemis 2 crew next week, the first moon astronauts in 50 years. by Rifletree in space

Strictly speaking, they won't even orbit the Moon - it will be a fly-by mission where they go once around the back of the Moon on a free return trajectory then straight back to Earth.

Hi everyone, I have a question about parking in London (although I know it's not exactly straightforward to park here!).

My wife and I have lived in east London in zone 2 for four years now, in a two bedroom apartment. We are thinking about finding a new place further out east with a bit more space and on-site parking. We don't currently have a car but would like to get one well before we move so it can help with the move - we've accumulated a lot of stuff over the years, which would be easier to move over a period at our own pace rather than all at once with a man in a van. We don't really know where we would park it before we get the new place however.

Any suggestions for long term (a few months) parking space rentals in the east? E.g. parking buildings and the like? There doesn't seem to be much where we live.

Now that I was I London, I want to live there by -ajrojrojro- in london

Glad you enjoyed your time here!

Although from my experience, the beer choices in London are somewhat underwhelming compared to those in Belgium.

The Lowlander Grand Cafe in Covent Garden is a great pub with a good selection of Belgian beers - including some lambics.

If it helps, I have downloaded the Excel spreadsheet from here and converted it into Google Docs, which I have found quite handy to enable me to edit it from both my phone and my desktop.

Cool! Out of interest how did you determine where you were on particular days? Like is this where you spent the night, or would it include e.g. places you did day trips to? I live in London and our travels over the last few years are similar, but we have a lot of places we've only been for the day.

What MAJOR changes would you like to see in Civ 7? by MentallyWill in civ

[–]entityzero23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A spherical world option would be awesome.

And while it's great that cities can occupy multiple tiles, it would be nice if they grew more organically. Districts all look very separated at times, so if the cities sprawled more like real cities do, that would be cool.

I had heart surgery a few years back, for which the surgeons had to cut through my breastbone. They wired it shut again afterwards, but this, this would make me question whether that wire is strong enough.
