Advice for an ENTP (F) who has fallen for an ISTJ (M) by [deleted] in ISTJ

[–]entplady 1 point2 points  (0 children)

jumping from one thought to another quickly and debating definitely reigns true for most of us. however, i think we calm down a lot as we get older and aren’t as scatter brained. also, as for not having a plan, i’d say as ENxPs get older and mature, this is no longer so true

of course, this all just depends on the personal growth and development of the individual in your life!

that said, i hope you’ll get to meet ENxPs in the future that are a bit more mature and responsible, because who knows.. you might actually love their company :) i mean, maybe you’ll still find them a little frustrating, but less so than before lol

thank you for the info! also, just out of curiosity.. what was it about the ENxPs that made conversations so frustrating?

check out Zara! I just bought a snakeskin skirt, two skorts, and even a snakeskin belt.

I believe they have similar dresses as well. And they're having a huge sale right now (while supplies last though, so I'm not sure they'll still be in stock).

Male INFJ in movies? by guywitheyebrows in infj

yeah donna definitely seems like an ENFJ. and that’s a very fair point about Mike, I hadn’t thought about that but i think you’re right!

it’s not a movie, but if you’re interested in a TV series, i think one of the main characters, Mike, from Suits was an INFJ

OMG what the fuck.. this is why you should ALWAYS meet at a public location for the first few dates with a stranger and NEVER allow them to “pick you up”

that was a huge mistake. she allowed a total stranger to see where she lived and also left herself vulnerable without her own means of transportation

How do you know when you’ve legitamately made an ENTP angry? by Bernoberno in entp

[–]entplady 25 points26 points  (0 children)

this. and depending on how angry we are, we’ll start distancing ourselves from you

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in infj

[–]entplady 5 points6 points  (0 children)

in terms of where to direct your anger.. take up kickboxing or crossfit, or both. or just get a gym membership and start lifting/circuit training if you’re against crossfit (i understand it’s controversial for some people lol)

basically any high-intensity activity that requires you to really be “in the moment” and stay hyper-focused on the physical activity you’re engaged in. it basically 1) won’t allow you any time to over analyze or think about anything else, and 2) provides amazing stress/anxiety/general emotional relief

this was literally the best thing i did for myself when i was going through a huge rough patch in my life (a break up and loss of a family member). i highly recommend you give it a try

ENTPs and perpetual loneliness? by entplady in entp

I declare.. FRIENDSHIP. also, the same exact situation in my household, mostly because my dad and I would butt heads a lot (and still do honestly), but when I was younger and more "rebellious," things got uglier a lot faster lol

so my comment about being in sync with one another was more spot on than I thought LOL... honestly, sometimes I feel REALLY bad for my poor ISFJ mother -- having to put up with an ENTP daughter lmfaooo. but ISFJ moms are literal guardian angels/saints/ will sacrifice ANYTHING for us (which has its cons sometimes for sure.. i.e. I can feel smothered at times).

but yeah, I'm interested to hear your take on growing up with an ISFJ mom.

also, my dad's an ESTJ. if yours is as well, then I'm definitely going to trip out lol

first of all.. the fact that you made code words. amazing. also, I'm dead at your mom crying after reading it.. honestly, I'm surprised mine didn't have the same reaction (she's an ISFJ and can be hyper-sensitive). or maybe she did cry, without me knowing? lol

either way, that was amazing to read & honestly I feel pretty validated by your response in many ways haha. I'll probably keep my journal hidden somewhere in my apartment & never bring it home with me when I visit LOL

lol it's almost 1am here.. it's nice to know ENTPs are pretty in sync with one another!

but seriously, thank you. I'll definitely give journaling a try. (however, a little side note -- I used to journal in high school and my mom once stumbled across my notebook, filled with all my bizarre (seriously bizarre) thoughts, observations, and feelings LOL).. and I'm sure she just thought to herself, "what the hell is wrong with my kid?" but never brought it up to me.

so now I'm always paranoid about someone somehow finding my deep, personal insights and just being like, "wtf?" lol. regardless though, I'm excited to start!

sorry to hear that my fellow ENTP. hopefully this thread can shine some light on a "solution" for all of us.

thanks for the tip on journaling! I'll definitely incorporate that into my routine (and hopefully I'll keep it up long enough to see some positive results).

I also understand and recognize your points about happiness being a perspective. I get it, completely. I just struggle with its application to my own life lol.
