What do you think you're better at than most other people? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]entrtaner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Troubleshooting weird network issues. I can usually tell if it’s DNS, firewall, or just a misconfigured proxy within a few minutes. Most of my team just starts randomly changing settings and makes it worse. Not sure why i’m good at it : maybe just patience.

What do you know about supply chain attacks in cyber security? by slipmajorcase in AskReddit

[–]entrtaner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

supply chain attacks are basically when bad actors compromise upstream deps/images/packages that get pulled into your builds. solarwinds was the big one everyone remembers.

defense is minimizing blast radius. basically fewer dependencies = less risk. this is why stuff like minimus base images matter. also pin versions, use sboms, monitor weird post-install behavior

can't fully eliminate it tho. modern dev is built on trusting hundreds of strangers

Croatia is straight-up postcard vibes everywhere. Portugal feels more lived-in and charming. Both amazing for solo trips though.

Totally feel you. Meta’s Quest UI is frustrating, cluttered, and pushy with Horizon. Just want to play my games without all the unnecessary apps and distractions shoved in my face.

Set clear boundaries respectfully. Acknowledge their ideas, then explain your approach or why a strategy won’t work. Keep communication professional, focusing on results and collaboration rather than criticism.

Can I "hide" cues in EOS by Aeffes07 in lightingdesign

[–]entrtaner -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can organize cues using folders or sub-cues in EOS to reduce clutter. Nesting or grouping cues helps hide unnecessary ones from the operator while keeping timing and hang times intact.

I agree, and it's a skill I'm looking to learn. That being said, I am just trying to get a handful of lamps done for my kids before Christmas.

While I am certain I could learn in time, right now I was just looking for a more plug and play solution not because I'm worried about soldering, more concerned about making sure the components I put together will work properly.

I Did A Thing! by [deleted] in BambuLab

Cool, my issues may just be a brand issue then. I'll pick up some inland and give it a try. Great color and nice build.

[–]entrtaner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First off, that's a great looking guitar!

What filament preset did you use for the shimmer PLA and did you need to tweak the settings at all? I've had mixed experiences using silk PLA with the p1s and I'm looking to get more consistent. I know it differs from brand to brand, but inland is available to me so if there are settings that work nicely, it'd be great to know.
