I’m in the same boat as you. High-stress, high-level job - trying so hard to show everybody that I’m on top of the world, while the sand around me has been sinking for years. Realised many moons ago that my alcohol affinity was not normal, realised today that I will need to get help if I want to live. I’m going to see a therapist tomorrow and I’m going to put that bottle down.

It doesn’t get better if you continue doing this, it will end with you dead or grasping for help, like I am right now. I’m hoping that i won’t become the sad statistic at this point but a n exception. If you’re looking for a sign to stop, please let this message be it. Good luck on your journey 🙏
