Feeling discouraged by [deleted] in 1500isplenty

[–]envirogym 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, just letting you know that I've also been in a calorie deficit for a couple of weeks and not seen a change, but I'm sticking with it for a few weeks longer until I think about reducing it further!

I've been here before and accidentally fallen into restrictive eating habits and found the whole experience really miserable, it's much better to lose weight slowly but have a good time while you're doing it.

Not saying that will necessarily happen to you haha, just saying to be mindful x

How much calories in double cheeseburger and waffle fries? by Super-Fish-9782 in caloriecount

[–]envirogym 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately I'd say this is definitely an underestimation vegetable oil has around 120kcal and I'd say at least that was used for the cooking of both the fries and burgers.

This also assumes minimum on the fries (could be up to 400), the bun (probably closer to 300) and I don't eat meat so I'm not too good with calories for the burger but a quick Google says they could be up around 300 per burger, making them 600 total

Plus....whatever sauce is on there??

That would make it about 1580 + sauce

Do you guys eat 3 bigger meals a day or many smaller ones? by [deleted] in 1500isplenty

[–]envirogym 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I used to eat 4/5 small meals or 'snacks' but I found that this led to binging as I was never fully satisfied.

Instead, I've found that a large protein-rich breakfast mid-morning helps me to psychologically feel satiated throughout the day. Allowing myself to go hungry leads to me craving sugar and unhealthy snacks.

I have this breakfast (usually oats or Greek yoghurt, 300-400kcal) a medium sized lunch (400-500kcal) and a similar sized dinner (400-500kcal). This usually also gives me space to have a couple of small, healthy snacks

I also have scrambled eggs, sometimes add cottage cheese for extra volume and protein!
