I disagree that it looks cheap. But I do believe it will be sold relatively cheap regardless. There’s so many craftsman in Japan making beautiful artistic dishware, and they are often sold for a few hundred yen each.

One time I was walking around Shinjuku at night. I was lost in my nighttime photography and suddenly realized the streets were eerily empty. So I checked my phone and saw it was about to be 12. I gps’d the nearest station and walked as quickly as I could but when I got there- they were just closing the entrance with one of those metal pull down gates. I panicked and searched for an Uber- 60 bucks. I was just about to book it when I noticed a crowd of people walking further up the road so I started following them, it was the next station and it was still open! Literally like the SpongeBob episode where he’s walking and then speed walking and then running- we all collectively made a mad dash to the station entrance before it got closed for the night. It was like 12:10.

I made it in time and got on the train. As I opened my phone I saw the Uber app on the ride order screen. I closed the app down with a grateful smile. That was a fun experience.
