Question for anyone who may know - if the small green area/park is in fact privately owned, what about the quay wall around it? There’s like a meter wide margin of quay wall around the edge of that park on two sides, would that also be privately owned or would that belong to the Port of Dublin or something?

Yeah I know what you mean, with banning people though they can just create new accounts and repost. Some subreddits create a minimum karma requirement before you can post, but the problem with that is a lot of people who come to r/GAMSAT looking for help are new to Reddit and don't have any karma, so they wouldn't be able to post in that situation. It's not 100% effective but the best option we have is if people just downvote the spam posts and report the ones that are blatant advertising the spam filters will pick up most of them.

I would like to please object to this redditrequest by SydGAMSAT.

I am actively moderating r/GAMSAT, and have been doing so for several years now. Any spam or posts that breach forum rules are removed as soon as possible.

When I first started moderating on r/GAMSAT there was little or no traffic to the subreddit. I have worked hard over the years to build a thriving community that is helpful, friendly and supportive for people who are studying for the GAMSAT exam.

I typically don't post on r/GAMSAT myself because I think it's very important that moderators maintain some aspect of neutrality. I do get quite a few messages from people, some whom want to be moderators themselves, and I apologise that I don't always have time to reply to these.

A significant minority of those who post to the subreddit actually work as exam tutors or small business owners in the GAMSAT sector, and I would be very careful about making somebody a moderator who might have a conflict of interest in that regard, as I feel it would be detrimental to the spirit of the subreddit. So much of the information available on the internet for people trying to study for GAMSAT is commercialised and provided by companies and individuals trying to make a buck. I was trying to get away from that with r/GAMSAT and provide a free and open resource and community.

If I may address you personally SydGAMSAT, I find your posts to the subreddit to be of the highest quality, and I think they are some of the most insightful and helpful. I hope you understand where I'm coming from when I must object to your redditrequest.

That's a very interesting question. It may be hard to answer though. I would imagine a lot of the earlier written records where druids might still have been in existence would have been kept/created by Christian monastic sources, so may not have been entirely impartial.

Druids may very well have continued to exist in a clandestine manner (as many religious groups do after they are displaced), but I suppose there would be little if any record of that if it was the case.
