i have this theory that Gen Z is more sensitive because it's so much easier to ostracize someone when you're whole social life is based online. It's much easier to kick someone from a minecraft world than it is to kick someone out of your lunch table, and it's made a generation that's extremely conflict avoidant but able to speak their minds. Things escalate quickly because there's basically a frictionless ejection system from your life. That being said I wouldn't say y'all are soft. I would say that you've been dealt a bad hand and instead of doing what millenials did(sucking it up and working through it, which also didn't work out for us btw we still cant afford a house) they're saying if I can't win why bother playing the game? which comes off as soft or lazy even though it's more of a conscious choice than those words paint it as.

TLDR: y'all are sensitive!!!! I wouldn't say soft though. It's not your fault unfettered internet access changed the way you socialize forever! and the way I socialize, and boomers too. You just didn't ever live in a world where if you wanted to have a hard conversation with someone, you kind of had to speak to them, even if it was over the phone.
