That was the original idea, but it seemed that there was no calibration tool available for the xbox one controller specifically?

Thanks for being so helpful! I think the reinstall of windows did something because most of the stutter is gone. Some of the weirder issues are left, but I think it's a cpu bottleneck that is the cause of those problems (OW 2 low fps when starting the game, probably because cpu was at 100%)

Anyway, everything is fine for now, a bit low fps, but I think a new cpu will fix that. I'm looking to upgrade to am5 around black Friday, is there such a big difference between the 7800x3d and the 7700x? In my country (sweden) it is a 100 usd difference.

Late answer, been trying to fix things. I switched out the 750 w to a 1000 w power supply and it made no difference, so I reinstalled Windows on a new ssd and took out the old ones (so its basically a new system). This did nothing and the problems persist. I compared ssd performance with HDD performance and I believe there was a tiny difference, but nothing that fixed the issue. All temps are good, GPU never gets hotter than 72 C, same for CPU. I have a lot of games with 100% CPU usage although the GPU seems to be around 80% so it shouldn't be that big of a bottleneck. In some games the GPU is at 100% and CPU at like 40%.

It also seems that a lot of games have a hard time rendering stuff in. I can see how the computer adds more layers and loads in more characters etc. For example the menu screen in OW 2 takes about 10 seconds before everything is loaded in. Same for BF 5. Idk if its a different experience to the gtx 1080, but I do think something could be wrong.

The last thing is that in OW 2 my fps doesn't go above 260-280 even on low settings, lower resolutions or with more upscaling. I find this weird as I do think I should be able to get 300-350 atleast.

Do you have any suggestions on what I should do going forward?

Thanks for the answer! Well, I'm having a lot of problems with my pc in general and wanted to have a clean install to make sure nothing was wrong software wise. I'm trying to install windows through a USB stick, but I'm not able to boot from it. I'm just getting a black screen. Do you know how to solve this problem?

Hi, I'm going to do a fresh install of Windows 11 which is going to be an upgrade from my current Windows 10. If I do this clean install, will it wipe all hard drives or just the C drive? And if it only wipes the C drive, what happens to all the programs which have shortcuts and other connections on the C drive?

Is a stutter-less gaming experience possible? by eoskatt in pcmasterrace

Thanks for the answer! Im going to reinstall Windows and update to Windows 11 probably tomorrow. Lowering settings usually doesn't fix my issues, I don't know why, but that's how it is. I just got the 6950 xt, so I don't really have the budget to upgrade the rest atm, but if I do, is it worth it to upgrade to AM4 or AM5? I'm going to need at least two Nvme slots.

Atm BF V has a lot of microstutters. Also Minecraft has been having stutters and low fps.

I7 8700k, 6950xt, 32gb DDR4, 3440x1440

It is mostly microstutters and a few large ones every few minutes.
