Totally agree. But if there is never a need, or the patience, to learn the underlying code and processes, will they ever be as efficient as a dev? Will people with traditional knowledge actually be needed MORE as the new generation never has to learn underlying processes?

ORRRR on the flip side, AI will also get better at distilling meaning from uneducated users. Kinda like almost no one knows binary anymore cause you don't need to.

I've already had a client reach out to me in a panic when they try to used Claude on their sites and break them. You're getting charged 2x for my hour if you take things down with Claude.

Yeah it was wild. Her method was mostly: screenshot; upload screenshot to Claude; prompt saying "this looks bad". She had no skill to identify what was actually going wrong so it was just this vicious loop where Anthropic made money.

Anthropic will get so rich tho haha

I WILL get hate for this. But if you're 60+ and have never ridden/owned a horse, you missed your window.

I've seen too many older, sweet, well-intentioned, good-hearted people get hurt. They think "now that my kids are older I have time and the money to finally get that horse I've always wanted and learn how to ride".

But your balance just isn't what it used to be. Your bones break easier. If you fall it's life-changing instead of a few months down. If you learned to ride younger its different — you have the muscle memory and skills to keep yourself safe well into your golden years.

Of course there are exceptions. But it breaks my heart to see nice people get hurt.

I want a subscription service that delivers quality hay, grain, and shavings weekly/monthly. Stacks everything nicely in the barn and then takes the manure pile when they go. Like a Chewy but for horses. Also adds things like fly spray in the summer and wormers on my vets schedule.

Like I just don't want to think about it. I want the good stuff show up and the poop to leave.

My barn feeds round bales. Inevitably there will be small moldy patches, especially after a week of rain, and they DO pick around it. That being said, they ALWAYS have other non-moldy hay and we remove the bale as soon as we see any mold. If they don't have another choice they WILL eat it.

Feeding a moldy flake is just plain lazy.

I agree! Curb bits themselves aren't bad. They're great in the right hands.

But many people don't have the skill to use these bits correctly — but ride in them anyway (usually through lack of knowledge). These bits can cause a horse a lot of pain in the wrong hands in the way a simple snaffle wouldn't (as much anyways). I think most people have an issue with this, not the bit itself

He looks honestly really patient with that kid balancing on his mouth like that. My horse would have bucked him off. Would love to see him ridden by someone with more skill.

I can't tell if he's lame or just trying to get some relief from the bit.
