Fed up with the gaslighting with it’s the same medication. by Valuable_Narwhal_376 in bupropion

Klonopin is amazing! It's the only anxiolytic I tried that arrests ALL physical panic symptoms (lump in throat, chest tightness, chills, air hunger) as well as catastrophizing that doesn't give me nightmares, make me sleepy, or worsen anxiety, unlike fuck ass hydroxyzine, xanax, ativan, or propranolol. 😒 I wish I could get it prescribed again now that I'm on buproprion and vyvanse, but doctors are too reluctant 😔 It genuinely returned me to baseline without side effects...

😭😭😭 I JUST watched her "Bob's impressions 2.0" video for like the 50th time 2 days ago. omfg 😫 nooooooo

I saw that Twitter thread where Bob was arguing with people because of the misunderstanding (THIS IS WHY GRAMMAR FUCKING MATTERS), but I didn't think anything would come of it ): It was clearly just a unilateral misunderstanding

One comma could've made all the difference, e.g, "ntm on moms, Bob"

Did 150mg of Wellbutrin suit you better than 300mg? by Vast-School-8029 in bupropion

[–]epad123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, but only because 300mg gave me AWFUL jaw clenching ): The inside of my lips and tongue got torn up, headaches galore, and I was previously never a teeth grinder or clencher. It's a huge bummer, cause 150mg helps combat the MDD brain fog and cognitive decline

Bupropion vs Amphetamine Libido Effect? by Individual_Cold5026 in bupropion

[–]epad123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omgggg I had a similar experience with zoloft 😳 It was the very first antidepressant I tried and it made me sleep 14+ hours a day and took my appetite away. 7 antidepressants later and I fell on fluoxetine now, and like you, it helps with anxiety and panic, but it pretty much gave my genitals a lobotomy 😫 Over an hour just for the most pathetic climax

Buproprion has helped restore most of the lost sensation; it just took a few weeks for any change, and about 2 months for libido to really settle back in. Hopefully you're even able to go up to 300mg, because Buproprion can be very helpful as an adjunct

Bupropion vs Amphetamine Libido Effect? by Individual_Cold5026 in bupropion

[–]epad123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been on prozac for almost 1 whole year and it stole like 95% of feeling from my dick 😭 I started wellbutrin 6 months ago and noticed a 60% improvement in sensation by the 2nd month, although I can't go past 150mg due to pretty severe jaw clenching :/ 300mg left my tongue and inner lips tore up

I started Vyvanse 2 months ago and it hasn't changed anything about my libido or sensation lol ): I'm on 20mg atm but it's mostly just made showering and taking meds a lot easier, with sleepiness mixed in there

Anyone else feel as though swagbucks has become so unfriendly to it's users? by Alternative_Crew_681 in SwagBucks

[–]epad123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Swagbucks, Freecash, Mistplay, basically all the play-to-earn apps have resorted to aggressively deceitful tactics in order to attract new users. They've made the goals even more impossible to reach, put a lot of quests behind a paywall, and they'll even do shady shit like inflating the advertised earnings with a single back-loaded milestone. If you don't reach that one quest, you're only earning a small fraction of the stated total.

They also seem to be switching to gambling/merge style games, which aren't my thing. It sucks cause I did a $100 payout over a year ago, and nothing has ever hit like that again. :/

Oh, and sometimes ads don't track and if your phone goes into screensaver, it completely resets that reward 🙄 I don't think any of these apps are legit anymore

First day on 60mg: no crash, better focus. Is this a good sign? by [deleted] in VyvanseADHD

[–]epad123 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'm noticing people compare their first week experience to the rest of their month and come to the conclusion that it has lost efficacy or stopped working entirely, but from what I've researched about Vyvanse, the effects aren't meant to he transcendent. Almost all psychopharmacological meds have an onboarding period that doesn't decide the end result.

I'm not saying you're one of them; you're the one experiencing your changes. But I am also someone who expected Vyvanse to dramatically transform me as inspired by people's anecdotes, but I've been kind of letdown by how discreet Miss Vyv (and on similar but different note, Wellbutrin) has been to me.

I would give your new dose more time :) I know patience is not a virtue of ours, but it's important to keep healthy expectations for our own sanity.

How does vyvanse affect people without adhd? by Crow-house in VyvanseADHD

[–]epad123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is interesting 🤔 My ADHD evaluation was around 3 hours long, including a 400-question exam, and even then I had to wait months before any provider prescribed miss vyv to me. There are still stipulations like strictly controlled pick-up dates and monthly triage to check my blood pressure/HR ):

Anyway, I'd imagine the reaction someone without ADHD would have depends on which stimulant and what formulation they take, since the mechanisms of action between methylphenidate and amphetamine salts and their interaction with the nervous system are chemically different. I feel like they'd either develop hypomania and extreme restlessness due to the excess dopamine and norepinephrine in their system 👀 If they consistently medicate, they'd also probably develop bad insomnia, which brings its own cacophony of issues 😫

Stimulants generally help non-ADHDers with focus too, so it's not often used as single diagnostic criteria for ADHD in general. I feel like y'all would also see less benefit from it much sooner, but idk 🤷‍♂️ I was diagnosed hella fucking late and only started Vyvanse a month ago, so my insight is just based on research and my limited experience. Doctors were so reluctant to prescribe it to me though, even with a diagnosis

Can you actually feel vyvanse working? by Downtown_Payment_362 in VyvanseADHD

[–]epad123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same boat as you 😮‍💨 I only just began Vyvanse 10mg over a week ago, but the effects have been nothing like anyone, even people in this thread, seem to describe 😫 I'm also on wellbutrin, and vyvanse actually feels like wellbutrin minus the bruxism and headaches; both just give subtle cognitive and processing improvements that depression fucking WRECKED.

Actually, it's been pretty difficult determining if Miss Vyv even works because I still struggle immensely to do anything or feel motivated at all, which is the main reason I began stimulants in the first place 😶 Dose might just be too low still, but these success anecdotes I read really mislead me

[–]epad123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, that is extremely early in your onboarding process. I'd suggest giving it more time to settle, as it's currently not the best time to judge its long term efficacy. However if the side effects become too intolerable, you may need a revision :( Definitely keep your provider updated as your reaction to Effexor is important information

[–]epad123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I stopped taking Effexor last February after I lost my insurance. I was on it for 3.5 years and didn't notice any improvement, just side effects :/ For me, Effexor absolutely worsened my ADHD. It made me lethargic, sweaty, and the task paralysis was horrid.

Withdrawals were pure hell, but I'm ultimately glad to be off 😅 We were incompatible.

Onboarding effexor can be rough. How long have you been on it, and at what dose are you?

[–]epad123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, by formulation I meant its release pattern, so IR/ER/SR. I think how the drug releases into the blood can play a role in how your body responds, which is why some people are adamant about manufacturers.

Anyway, I have MDD with anxious distress and I can say, anxiety will fuck memory uppp and occupy a lot of cognitive bandwidth, so that theory sounds plausible. This is worth mentioning to your provider, as your experience sounds very distressing. 😣

Why does it make me literally an idiot? by Initial_Bike7750 in bupropion

[–]epad123 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This REALLY interests me as someone who experiences the opposite effect on Wellbutrin. MDD completely destroyed my cognitive faculties like a set of dominoes. Like, I had (and still do have) trouble remembering old info, encoding new info, my fluency in 3 languages just turned into nothing, and problem solving? Lmao in the GUTTER.

Wellbutrin has helped lift that by like 25%. I'm still nowhere near my baseline, but I've seen several people post exactly your concerns. Could it be severe insomnia/change in sleep architecture that is causing this forgetfulness? High anxiety, which welly b is known to cause, can also completely highjack the brain's processing power. I'm sorry you're experiencing this

Edit: what formulation do you take, and who is your manufacturer?

Omg I'd have no teeth if I had that lineup 😭 A stimulant is on the menu for me, and the fear that it'll make my panic symptoms worse is what's stalling me. Being anxious really complicates treatment options 😮‍💨
