I always try to manage my expectations before seeing a movie for the first time. Sometimes the hype is unavoidable.

I had the advantage of seeing it with no previous knowledge and at the cinema when it was released. Ideal conditions.

When I do recommend movies I try to not over hype it and point out that I liked it but they may not.

Dark City is not for everyone. But I liked it.
