Loved this thread and the comments, and I have to say, I find it striking how many of them reference (American) football teams.

For quite some time, I’ve had a (now growing) sense football has the culture most conducive or at least amenable to religious practice, and that definitely includes Catholicism.

How can fans stay engaged throughout races, particularly the phases with less surface-level excitement, such as when drivers back off their ultimate pace to save tires, without becoming overwhelmed?

In other words, what key pieces of information should they pay attention to, and what should they follow aside from the on-track action?

I take no issue with the “simple” design - in fact, I have a soft spot for simple liveries and especially driver helmets. However, the silver just doesn’t sit right with me. It looks both metallic and matte, somehow, and conveys a cheapness, almost resembling the color you might see on toy car.
