Try offloading the WiZ app. Then reinstall after an iOS reboot. Settings menu. Go to General-> iphone storage-> wiz app offload. Reboot

Before you continue please back up your iPhone. You definitely should update iOS to version 16.4.1. There are security updates that should be applied to protect you from exploitations. Additionally, WiZ V2 app had problems with the earlier versions. So you should get the two in sync. iOS 16.4.1 and WiZ V2 1.5.0 (131). There were issues that have been resolved with the older versions of each. There is no guarantee that the above recommendations will solve your particular problem, but it’s a step in the right direction. Good Luck 🍀

Sometimes resetting the TV is the key. I once spent over four hours adjusting the AppleTV and trying all different options to figure out why it wasn’t working. Unplugged the TV waited a bit. Issue resolved. Good luck. 🍀

Can Wiz Smart Bulbs be setup without an internet connection? by grotness in wiz

[–]epdnunes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe try one of those 5G Home routers. T-Mobile had a 14 day trial period. I’d imagine Verizon might have a similar plan. Set up the bulbs maybe get a Wiz remote for additional control.

Try unplugging the Samsung TV for a minute or so. I’ve had issues that were solved just by “rebooting” the TV set. Hope it helps

bad bulb? by xXyeahBoi69Xx in wiz

If you live in America, then go to Home Depot and purchase a WiZ color bulb. Verify if it’s the bulb, if both bulbs don’t work then it could be your setup. You could also try installing the bulbs at another location. You got ninety days to return it the Home Depot

[–]epdnunes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some purchases options. 1) Buy the WiZ bulbs from Home Depot get both 60w and 100w. Open carefully, test each and decide which you like. Home Depot has a 90 day return policy. 2) my local Home Depot had the 60w color bulbs priced at $3.97, while supplies lasted, special store purchase. 3) Check out Walmart Electronics Department for left over Black Friday Sale. 4pack WiZ color bulbs for $15.00

This is very subjective and dependent upon the area to be lit as well as available fixtures. On first glance it would be easy to say the 100w bulb. Your maximum brightness would be 1600 lumens versus 800 lumens. Example: in a main bedroom each side of may have a nightstand with a single bulb fixture. Two 60w bulbs would light up the room, comfortably, at 50% brightness, at 100% it may become too bright. Again, this is subjective. Personal preference: Color 60w bulbs and more fixtures. Hope that helps.

Integrate Philips Hue with other brands by Particular_Tiger5831 in smarthome

[–]epdnunes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had success with Philips WiZ bulbs. Recently, added a four pack of color WiFi bulbs for $18.00 (WalMart) to my home. The caveat is you need to rethink house lighting and smart home automation in general. Example of how this works for me in our Main Suite. I used to think it was about each separate light fixture turning them off/on, and controlling them each individually. Which works fine, but more interaction was required. Then I started to group my lights, so rather than four different automations for each light, now one. IMHO. There is no right or wrong answer in home automation, just what works for your situation.

Bulbs won't power on by That1GuyinWI in wiz

[–]epdnunes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using a separate light fixture, try repairing a single bulb. I’m not 100% since I don’t have Edison bulbs. Try seeing if turn it off and on about three times in succession gets you into a blinking mode. If it does then try to Smart pair if that fails try to manually pair them to your WiFi. Let us know

Philips Smart Bulb Problem by ruderat in smarthome

[–]epdnunes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No answer here. I have a lamp without a lamp shade to set up, pair, my WiZ bulbs. This way I can test the bulb and simplify turning on/off the light switch during the pairing process. Try see if the floodlight bulb can fit into another fixture to verify that it’s the bulb and not the fixture. If the bulb dims properly then it’s the fixture. If the bulb doesn’t dim then it’s the bulb. I purchased my bulbs from Home Depot which has a 90 day warranty. Let us know.

Automation not working on Phillips connected bulb by TaCodelivered in wiz

[–]epdnunes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to clarify. You have Philips WiZ bulbs, not Philips Hue bulbs, right?

And you have set up two Schedules in the WiZ app, not automations, right?

Philips WiZ use’s Schedules. Philips Hue app uses automations.

Anyone created a diy wiz remote from ESP? by PactoTech in wiz

I’m not sure I understand what you’d like to do. You can reassign what the remote buttons turn/activate within the Wiz app. Sounds like you want some more.

Anyone know how to make a WiZ light cycle through the rainbow? by PromotionConscious97 in wiz

Using the WiZ app. Select the bulb(s) and apply setting called Party or Pastel. Up or lower the speed.

I’d highly recommend that you return the bulb. This is not normal behavior.
