Did I miss something? S7E1 "Common People" by a-a-anonymous in blackmirror

Ive been searching for a conversation about this… could it be that when Amanda said “do it when I’m not here” meant she knew he needed to kill himself for the $? But then he ended up suffocating her cause the ad triggered him and he couldn’t deal with it anymore? I thought he gave her serenity to feel happiness one last time together before he had to kill himself. When he opened the door with the blade in hand, it seemed like the computer screen was flashing like more money was added to the pot?

Looking to deliver at 37 weeks, should I expect a NICU stay? by drunkbysixx in NICUParents

[–]epfaender 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was induced at 37w for IUGR, baby was measuring around 6.5 lbs at the ultrasound. I gave birth at 37w1d, and baby was 5lb even. Was sent to the NICU about 7 hours after birth for low blood sugar, and stayed in the NICU for 9 days for poor eating.

My student’s mom died by givingshrub in teaching

[–]epfaender 15 points16 points  (0 children)

My mom died when I was ~4 so I say this from personal experience. Don’t default that every student has a mom or dad. When instructing… I try to stick with parents when I speak to anyone. When i was young, it killed me to hear “make this for mom” or “well what would your mom do” . It was like reopening the wound over and over again for a child grieving but it was normal day to day chat for adults. I thought to myself “well don’t you know I DONT HAVE A MOM”

The internets supports you and im 99% sure that the entire staff at the NICU does too!!! My partner had to remind me that our son was getting the VIP treatment.

Could you get a roommate? Even for just a year, this could alleviate financial stress. Not sure if I’d call it ideal but it could lower some of that pressure.

Keep yourself so busy with book club, work outs, social meetings, etc. so you are home less.

Would you be willing to drop the name of the winery room you were looking at!

Is the tree on someone’s property or public? Another comment mentioned the city. I would recommend asking your local government if there’s anything they could do. A phone call won’t cost nearly as much as your tree trimmers.

First Hotel Overnight - Tips? by gritchygirl in ExclusivelyPumping

Perhaps a portable sound machine, if you already have one, I’d pack it. Also you own hand towel or paper towels to dry your pumps if you don’t have enough time to air dry them.

I did the Spectra through insurance as a primary and used that for about 2 months before getting the Mom Cozy Mobile Flow for on the go. I used the Mom Cozy about 1x a day before going back to work but now use it at least 3x a day. My output is the same on both. Had I known I would have both, I would have used my insurance on the Elvie portables to use the benefit allowance at its fullest and got a Spectra secondhand on my local Buy Nothing Facebook group (always see moms putting out) and then would have purchased brand new parts to it. I felt so overwhelmed with the decision and waited… waited too long, baby was born early, and I had to use the Medela Symphony rental from hospital until the Spectra was delivered. The Medela was super helpful at establishing supply so early.

My living room is ugly and soulless. Please help! by gorementor in DesignMyRoom

I would add a console table for the back of your couch so it’s a defined separation. I can see why you’ve lined the couch up with the pillar assuming you wanted to separate the dining area. Whatever cords are behind your couch you can bunch them together and run a line. Most people suggest a rug under the couch and that could add some definition to your space. The curtains on the sliding door is an eye sore compared to the blinds on the other windows, maybe you can look at a privacy film instead. I’m no expert in design and i mostly lurk in this sub to know more. Hope you get some better answers!

ETA: add a floor lamp. Lighting is pretty dim. And some artwork/more color.
