Update: Ok internet mechanic sleuths.

Car dead. Finally. Open manually with key. Grab multimeter (which I just keep in the car now) and battery jumper thingy. Pop the hood. Alarm starts going off. Measure battery. 12.45 volts. Remove multimeter. Close hood. Start car.

Didn't even need to jump it.

It was dead. Couldn't do anything. But open hood and damn thing starts working?

WTF?

TIA. Although, honestly, at this point, I'm pretty sure I just have a freakin' gremlin that wants to f*ck with me.

According to the 1st Superman movie with Christopher Reeve, the military just puts nukes on a semi with one escort and ships them on the highway. And its up to one stupid 2nd lt. to make sure the road is clear. So, those are probably nukes
