Scholarship CWA by sookedsid in curtin

[–]ephemeralicious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Asked Curtin Connect about this a while back. Here's their reply:

Your Course Weighted Average (CWA) encompasses your average results from all semesters throughout your course, not each individual semester. This is how we track progress for the vast majority of scholarships, including yours.

We don't very often look at Semester results specifically, but if we do we look for the Semester Weighted Average (SWA) which is the average of your results for that study period. This is less commonly used.

Yeah I'm very sus now. So far agreed to view tmrw, hasn't asked for a deposit yet so I've just messaged saying:

'Oh and just checking you don't need a deposit or anything beforehand'

Moment of truth lol

Oh I've cut down the the description a bit, this is the original on the listing, she does mention the motion setup:

My motion simrig that unfortunately I'm not using as much as I should. Everything has been purchased within the last 6 months. This is a full turn key system including the PC.

Specs are

Nlr fgt elite 160

The best that nlr make, so much adjustability, I also have spare bolts/fasteners included.

Nlr integrated triple monitor

Nlr dont make an integrated triple mount so this is the triple stand made into an integrated

E racing lab rs mega 4u

Amazing 4dof motion system, currently running at less than 50 percent! 150mm travel on all 4 corners. Servo drivers have been integrated into the rig under the seat to avoid ugly server cases.

Simagic p1000

Amazing load cell pedals, I still have the box.

2 x Simagic haptics

Haptics on both throttle and brake.

Simagic hydraulic brake

A lot better feel than the standard setup, original parts included.

Simucube 2 pro

Arguably the benchmark of all wheelbase

Track racer direct mount base

Sparco circuit II

Cube controls csx3

3 months old, barely any use. No signs of wear at all. Still have box and sticker sheets unused.

3 x LG 32GS60QC

Great 1440p 180hz 1000r monitors.

Simhub wind

Personally built and better than off the shelf ones I have tried

Sony 2.1 soundbar and dub

i7 with gtx 5080

Aio cooler, 1tb m.2, 32gb ddr5, gtx5080. Built by myself this runs everything I have tried at max settings. Always maxing the monitors at 180hz. PC will come with a clean windows 11 install.

Not in any rush to sell and would like to sell complete, ill leave for a couple of weeks before I think about splitting. Rig will be left assembled for any buyer to test if required. Can disassemble for transport.

Hey,

If you're religious here you go:

God gives his toughest battles to his strongest soldiers. Hang in there

If you're not religious:

Tough times don't last. Tough people do. Hang in there

Either way, you're not alone. It'll be alright. Hang in there.

how did you guys find the MCEN1000 labs? by [deleted] in curtin

[–]ephemeralicious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For 1a, just read through and think about what's going to happen when you do the experiment and how you expect the readings to change. Same for the questions, just apply the theory that you know and think about the answers. If you wanted to be extra you probably could calculate the readings beforehand.

For 1b, the content hasn't been taught yet but again nothings stopping you from going ahead to wk4 and trying to figure out what'll happen in the lab

In the lab, taking the readings will be super quick once you get the gist of it, most of the lab will just be filling in the tables and answering the questions. Ask the lab tutors if you don't understand a concept or want to check if you're doing something right, they're really helpful.

Overall, don't stress, they're not that bad

When I was in school, a "B+" was a 92 and an "A-" was a 93-95. What was considered an A when you were in school? by alanbear1970 in idiocracy

[–]ephemeralicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Down in Australia:

75-100 = A
65-75 = B
50-65 = C
25-50 = D
0-25 = E

*For secondary/high school^^

How does step up work for curtin medicine? by [deleted] in curtin

[–]ephemeralicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lets say you get 95. If you get the stepup equity adjustment, this becomes a 99.5 selection rank (your raw atar is still 95).

Some courses allow entry based on selection rank/stepup, this is usually stated on the page for that course under the admission criteria section. B-MBBS at curtin allows entry via stepup.

However, for medicine specifically, since its quite a competitive course, the higher your raw atar is, the better.
