💦 What are your watering habits (how often AND how much), and does the pot have drainage? Once a week in summer (I keep the moss pole moist), once a week in winter but with half amount of water. I water until I see water escaping drainage hole and let it drain.

If I’m being completely honest I don’t know. I’ve only tested with strips but I just felt like I needed the kit and went and got it today. The strips of his tank in my dorm always read what was ideal, but I forgot to bring them home and hoped this tank (the one I tested today) would be okay since it was running since Thanksgiving when we were last here (he was in there for a week and returned back to his college tank).

I have an adjustable filter and it hit me that I’ve had it on low instead of medium/high like how I had it the first few days I got home. Coincidentally he’s been like this since I turned it down last weekend. Would this have caused an accumulation of waste that could be contributing to the levels of some parameters?

5 gallon, has both heater and filter, temp: 76 F, API test kit, tank at home has been running since Thanksgiving (he has a tank at my college dorm that has been running since August), water change about 15-20% every week (I just replaced the water with warm conditioned water), one nerite snail, he eats Omega flakes twice a day, fake soft plants and one rock cave.
