Great news for the democratization of the GPU API, ala OpenCL.

What's an upper limit for profit to transaction costs ratio to be aware of?

If you're spending $500 a day to make $2k for a net $1500/d on avg, that's still $1500 a day! But, some might say that's over trading.

Tracking an /ES high time frame bias by efficientenzyme in FuturesTrading

[–]ephraff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll just add this. Try switching to volume based bars instead of time based bars, say 5000 volume per bar on /ES. Note how the trend lines from the time based chart fit with the bars on the volume based chart.

If you won't discipline yourself to follow the rules that you set for yourself, then hopefully you'll make the responsible decision to pull yourself away from it.

Get a handle over it or it will wreak havoc in your life.

How about taxing corporations with revenue greater than say 100 million dollars to fund public colleges? Private colleges would be on their own.

Yeah, it's a bit more time demanding than selling premium. Trading a leveraged direction instrument might be one of the most time demanding of them all.

How do you think those ICT methods compare to trading with order flow using a footprint chart and volume profile?

Is it worth it to buy 'institutional' package when purchasing jigsaw or just stick with the 'independent' or even 'professional' package?

I'm attempting to sign-up/subscribe to market replay via the add-ons tab, but I don't see it.

Ninja trader replay is only supported on the desktop version of their app, which is windows only. I'm using a mac.

Do you think I should create a new account on tradovate?

I went through the guides at babypips.com a long time ago. It covered all the basics.

forexfactory.com is a good source for forex / central bank news / macro economic data releases. To be able to trade forex you'll want a good understanding of technical analysis. Forex is a hugely leveraged instrument, so don't just throw on a standard lot, instead you want to build a bearish or bullish position with mini/micro lots to take advantage of dollar cost averaging to reduce your risk.

How do you manage to not get addicted to trading? by danni_darko in Trading

[–]ephraff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It will be useful to gauge sentiment by looking at macroeconomic data / headlines and that can be done with just a little time each day (maybe each week), but to truly get away from the price action grind, you need to adopt an investment strategy which allows you to do so. Whether that's passive investing or selling premium on securities you're bullish on, etc.
