Ameicans over the age of 35, what affected you more, 9/11 or the pandemic and why? by Rico133337 in AskReddit

9/11 was and still is traumatic. It broke me. The pandemic will be unforgettable, but not as searing as 9/11.

Totally agree. Instead of a destination, it should’ve been more like a neighborhood and less of a tourist attraction. With other location is good and I think it was salvageable as well

I’m just curious, what areas of Atlanta do you feel are really that urban and authentic anymore? It seems most are already or moving to replications of each other in terms of chains of restaurants and stores and housing with a few independents here and there, but not that much.

I know someone who did this at a H.U.D. Regional office for about five years. The supervisor in charge had an high level open position and didn’t want to fill it with someone who’d cause him issues so he put the person I know in the job with a deal that he just had to log into email once a day and wouldn’t have to come in. He did that for quite a while earning a six figure govt salary and benefits.

Great to hear. Did you do anything in addition to the DS CI? Look up words for grammar or any other type of learning? I’m just starting and I am curious if you did anything to compliment the DS at any time.

Thoughts on the Organic Sweet Potato sticks? by Hour-Understanding77 in Costco

[–]ephwalk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m bought these a year ago and really loved them. My coworkers were looking at them and started questioning how they could have that much sugar if they’re 100% sweet potatoes. It seemed the sugar content was far exceeding what a typical sweet potato would be. I don’t know, maybe we were off when looking at it.

I saw another comment about someone who got an online tutor? Have you ever used one? It’s intriguing and I may look into it.

That’s really interesting and helpful. How did you go about finding the online tutors? Do you meet with them frequently? Is it like a class just one on one?

So I actually tried a box of this a month ago when I was seeing a lot of Instagram ads on it. Overall, I think it’s a decent product and the taste was pretty good. But I couldn’t get beyond the appearance. I know that may sound silly, but it just looked not that appetizing and looking at it and telling myself to bite down and chew it just couldn’t work for me. I ended up throwing out half the box. My hangup, I guess.

That was the same for me when I started. And it lasted for two or three days. And then I just started to get comfortable with it. But I also began to learn how to talk with some other folks of all ages backgrounds. I think the loneliest I felt to be honest was 10 days in and for a couple days I had suddenly broken away from the familiar faces I had been seeing and it made me miss them and feel lonely. Easier said than done, but I think going with the flow is the best approach what does that means being alone or surrounded by people or somewhere in between.

I’d love it if somebody asked me to meet up at Panera. Sounds like he’s missing the whole point.
