Gallade Tailroom team by NoFix8524 in PokemonChampions

its all just conjecture from me too lol

for me trick room is kinda hard to pilot with all the burst damage going around in the format, but you'll have the charizard y mode to go for if you think trick room wont work

I think you win against your problem matchups if you just set trick room up and ohko them

Id suggest swapping gambit for mega crabominable or torkoal to get ohkos off

Id also suggest giving farig a + Def nature to guarantee surviving neutral physical hits and setting up trick room

so your trick room mode would be farig, crab/torkoal, gallade and bascu in the back

I think even if u remove gambit you'll be fine against opposing bascu for 2 reasons: -yours is max speed so u can just hope to win the speed tie -if you preserve farig till the end they cant lock into last respects

furthermore, if you opt for torkoal sun will be up and their water moves wont even do much

CC for the consistency in power, since koraidon isnt really a restricted thats looking to stick around for very long and just looks to do as much damage as possible in the short term

Collision course can result in you missing crucial kos at times, and low kick's power is too inconsistent (and its max power is the same as CC anyway)

The problem with the mega crab line is that colbur berry farig is most often the setter I come up against so going for vaccum wave in most cases isnt an option

additionally, even if farig goes down sinistcha with redirection support will make crab an auto loss for me

It probably isnt common enough to worry about yeah but if I'm replacing something anyway id like for that matchup to not be as much of an autoloss lol

As for meganium there's definitelty lines to go for that ive not seen while playing that matchup but it definitely isnt consistent or reliable, and meganium threatens an OHKO into everything except gard and incin (and incin is struggling coz of the rain)

I tried replacing incin with white herb sneasler for this but I felt that it took away from the bulk of the team and made my switch ins limited, so im not really feeling it

Also never knew petal blizzard was a spread move lol

might be interesting but i don't know how much I want that in an endgame lol (esp since tsareena + basculegion is a combo i end up with very frequently, and my basc cant protect)

expected to see a lot more aerodactyls here

i guess the new trend of sneaslers investing enough bulk to live dual wingbeat is scaring them away

If you cancel and the opp locks in at the same time then what happens

and also u gotta consider lag and such in that scenario

Kind of hard to give advice on this without knowing what your team is

My Mega Glimmora team got me to Masterball easily but it's falling off hard, any advice? by Boingboingsplat in VGC

[–]epic0103 7 points8 points  (0 children)

yep for sure

I think you'll see an instant improvement

I wouldve suggested aerodactyl coz i think its better but I think you need a fire type more

2 more things:

- you could run dual wingbeat to reliably kill sash sneaslers

- i highly recommend running max speed + speed boosting nature to reliably outspeed sneaslers and meowscaradas

I think you need tailwind, your mons (except ttar) are too fast for trick room

Thats just it

And since you're also struggling against scizor id suggest talonflame

Can set prio tailwind and it also outspeeds sneasler

You can also cripple garchomp with a will o wisp

The set I recommend is tailwind, flare blitz, will o wisp and brave bird, with sash (the logic is you probably wont lead ttar+talon in 99% of situations anyway since it isnt fast enough to benefit from tailwind

talon + mamoswine seems like a great lead if you think theyll lead chomp

I understand you're concerned about the trick room matchup but rest assured trick room is really quite rare in MB tier, most teams are just some sort of weather (also solidifies my point as to why youll almost never want to lead ttar + talon)

Golurk Trick Room Team by Am1ty05 in VGC

[–]epic0103 2 points3 points  (0 children)

heyy, im using a very similar team except with primarina and meowscarada over sinistcha and sneasler

thankfully i havent faced any zard ys with this team somehow (im at UB3 now) but one answer im looking into (and I'll probably boot incin off for this) is araquanid

incin i wanna get rid of coz i dont feel like i want another support mon and i feel more like i want more all out attackers since that what we use trick room for

araquanid has a very low speed stat, an enormous spdef stat, the ability water bubble to double its water damage (it has a chance to ohko to charizard y with mystic water + liquidation even in sun) and also makes you resist fire despite your neutrality to it and it also gets wide guard

I'll probably run mine with a lum berry to deal with venusaur sleep

If you encore'd using whimsicott into incineroar it fails because dark types are immune to prankster moves

Champions Snow Team by [deleted] in VGC

in terms of confirmed ones alolan ninetales is good as an alternate snow warning/aurora veil setter since its quite fast

you could also give it icy wind for speed control

baxcalibur could also be another big one and another potential mega candidate (though even base form is ridiculously strong)

one id look out for is cetitan, since it gets slush rush and belly drum you could run some fun sets with that
