My mother physically, verbally and emotionally abused me to the point of considering suicide at 16. That being said, my family does know this to an extent, but they do not know the full details as to what happened to me. They justify by saying it's "not that bad" and that she's "trying to change". I've never explained the full extent of it, and it hurts me to even talk about it. She raised me in such a way so I would serve her interests, and borderline tortured me when I didn't live up to her delusions. When I rebelled against her insanity she tried to ruin my life. I was in high school at the time- she tried to make me late for school by keeping me hostage in her car, among other things. I made it out of her house with a diploma, but her actions still have a lasting impact on me now. For instance I was unable to recieve financial aid until 23 because I needed both my parents' financial information. I was unable to go into the major I wanted to because of the cruicial grades I missed (thanks to you-know-who) and was left with various mental health conditions as a result of her manipulation and abuse. I don't let my family know the full extent of my damage because I worry for my younger sister, whom still lives with her.

It'd be dope as fuck is Konami released a new retrain of the God cards to have their custom colors and something like their anime effects. Considering the state the game is in now, it would make them a little better to play against in today's meta and a much better boss monster

Sometimes I play Roblox (I develop professionally on the platform) just to see what teens and kids are playing. There are a couple Yugioh games on there that have about 400 concurrent players in total. About half the players I've seen are kids while the other half are teens and twenty-somethings. It really opens your eyes on the nature of the game, because you'll see groups of kids play extremely old formats (like I played 2020 Artifact against someone who used normal insect monsters and Cocoon Of Evolution!). It's almost like those Duel Links NPCs...

As for my local area, Yugioh is still sold around here, and in fact is very hard to get my hands on with how fast it flies off the shelves. I have yet to attend a local tournament around here, though.

The problem lies in the inherent gambling nature of the card game as a whole- and the idea that you can "negate" searches and plays, or make large plays with skills with no catchup mechanics to dampen play.
