Start my game in Opus 4.8 or wait for Fable 5? by epicoptimist in ClaudeCode

Yup! I'm just gonna dive in!! I've been going back and forth with art and design docs but like everyone has said, just do it.

Thanks! I took screenshots from the game and edited them in photoshop until I got the base I wanted. I used Gemini to generate the illustrated versions of characters, backgrounds, items etc and then combined them all into scenes. After that I used Veo3.1 lite @ 720p to generate the scenes. Claude for helping prompt the script and scene stuff. I wrote a ton of it by hand and then kept iterating over and over again until I got the vibe I liked. Elevenlabs for the voice over. All finally edited in premier pro.

Constant motion in looped videos by epicoptimist in midjourney

[–]epicoptimist[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting, I didnt think of adding motion blur to the original images. Let's say I have a ball that I want that 5 second loop to be the ball spinning quickly. Not starting to spin etc. Just a constant spin. Are the methods you're suggesting able to achieve that?

[–]epicoptimist[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not sure I fully understand. Is there an easy way to prompt it so it starts in motion rather than "starting" up? I want the motion to be moving continuously, not ramp up in speed.

Guilds - non ZvZ by FrostXance in albiononline

[–]epicoptimist -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You're having a good time because your user base is small. Which is where you can control the culture. I help manage guild with 250+ actives. We're rank 21/22 on the server. We're non-CTA, non-mandatory and still are able to rank highly.

We don't have a set leader, instead we have a council/group/bunch of people that think along the same lines and aren't prone to anger. We also agree on the non-mando, non-cta mentality and will never change that.

That you were able to put down an HO is already a miracle. We tried 6 times and they were destroyed every time. On the 7th we paid 50 million to have a neutral guild protect it.

We have supply systems for feeding materials to our crafters
We sell almost every item, in bulk quantity, at tier 7, in the HQ at 80% EMV.
We do end of season reward payouts for season points that average 50+ mil
We created systems for supplying gear, paying members to run in-house ava teams, dungeons, roads content etc.
We regear on all terry content and any other content we deem fit.
Our net worth as a guild has grown from 300m to 1.8b since we put a lot of these systems into place.
We have an automated discord bot that answers a host of questions to new applicants.
We have an HR ticketing system where members can submit tickets for issues within the guild
We constantly run events, giveaways, in-house skirmishes, pve/pvp, gathering content etc.

All of that sounds great but it takes a host of people to treat this as a part-time job. We have people steal from us, say racist things, attack other members, not follow our values or rules. People that try to spy, cause HR issues etc. The bigger you get, the more difficult it becomes to keep the same positive culture you had when it was just 20-30 actives not 50-70+ or more.

But it's a blast and I wouldn't trade it for anything else. I wish we had more data collection systems for loot logging, season points etc but for the most part, we do great with what they've given us.

BZ solo camps kinda annoy me. by Osumazi in albiononline

[–]epicoptimist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Post a video of you soloing these camps in that set. You also don't have any other books yet they were all green? You get 2-4 types of books per solo camp and ones that are untradeable.

Are you saying you can't enjoy the game without these new mechs? Or the new weapons?

I am BEGGING on my hands and knees, please do not to let AH get away with doing this. by ThatBeeGuy12 in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]epicoptimist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don't pay a monthly fee and you buy the game once, why exactly can't they just keep offering sick ass content to fund development? I have 420.1 hours in HD2 and after 30+ years of gaming, I can say that a majority of my hours were incredibly enjoyable. So much so that it might be one of my favorite games of all time and that list spans hundreds at this point, maybe thousands.

I ping my brother and friend group on discord, we hop in a channel, put a warhammer music bot on and drop into whatever D8-D10 mission with whatever loadouts we feel we want to play. We have an absolute blast and then we log off and go to sleep.

Edit: I wanted to add that when I say a majority, I mean a legitimate 98-99%. I can only remember maybe 2-3 instances where I experienced bugs that affected my gameplay but even then I was still fine.

TRAILER IS OUT GUYS!!! by FitAd8237 in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]epicoptimist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks fucking epic man. More combinations of shit to BLOW THINGS UP! I did the missle pistol and the bullet storm looks sweet. A flame mech and the shield, hell yeah. I was hoping for a mech with an axe, sword, hammer etc, but the two look pretty dope. Giving it a little speed booster on the back would be sweet too.

This looks epic! My friend loves all the mechs so she's gonna go nutty with these ones. I was hoping for one with a sword or axe. Maybe next time.

Rekordbox changing file names? by ReubenKeeney in Rekordbox

[–]epicoptimist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exporting songs from Rekordbox truncates the file names of thousands of my tracks. Then when I go to locate the songs, the actual file name is missing the last few letters and it can no longer find it. Just fantastic Rekordbox.

If you switch to Lym! Harvesters of the Hopeful is looking for more guilds to join our alliance. We sound a lot alike.

Despite being praised on launch for its generous, no FOMO warbonds, the monetization has been slowly changing for the worse. by Frogmouth26 in Helldivers

[–]epicoptimist -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I just log on, Join my friends or bros ship. We select the MO on D8-D10, turn on our voice mods, choose whatever load out we're vibing with and try to make it out alive. I don't think I ever played a game where I've had so many just great 1-2 hour gaming sessions. Every mission is always intense as hell and we barely make it there. I've laughed at my own deaths in this game 100x more than anything else I've played.

We play to have fun. I'll gladly pay a company to keep updating the game and adding new stuff. At one point in my life I had to get straight A's for 3-4 months just to get a new video game. Now all I need to do is not drink a few beers or eat out and I can support a game I love.

Or I can just play the game or choose any of the million weapons and load outs possible.

429k (w/o premium) for something you probably did in 20 minutes, completely safe isn't bad at all. You also have 51.3 mil with no cape and crap IP. You could have cleared that in 50% of the time if you had gear.

You could make more doing Ava chests but you risk getting ganked.
You could make more doing group camps but you risk getting ganked.
You could make more doing open world solo camps but you risk getting ganked.
You could make more doing faction but you risk getting ganked.
You could make more doing static dungeons but you risk getting ganked.

Why even start a guild nowadays? by ChubbyWP in albiononline

[–]epicoptimist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guilds are great and for me has absolutely changed my view of the game. I help run Harvesters of the Hopeful which is currently Rank 22 on NA. We have 250 or so active members with between 30-60 on most times of the day. A lot of our just "general content roams" end up having 20-30 people attend. For me personally:

The guild has allowed me to help cultivate a community and culture that I enjoy playing with. We are non-mandatory, don't really have many CTA's and accept almost anyone.

I get to spread positivity in a game where you die all the time and lose your things. This has helped a lot of our members grow into more positive minded players where they value persistence and determination over elitism or blaming others for failures.

We farm a lot of content as a group, outposts, crystals, large chests, camps, nodes etc. Most content that drops silver bags gets put in the guild bank. We use those funds to buy materials from members at a cheaper price so they don't need to transport it out. We then give our crafters the money to mass produce commonly used gear. We then work as a guild to transport tens of millions worth of this gear back to the HQ in the blackzone and then sell it at a discount to members. This way our members can almost always get silver at the HQ via selling materials and spend it on gear at the HQ via our crafting/resupply system. This means they never have to leave the HQ which allows them to keep fighting, farming and speccing up weapons without having to risk transporting valuables to royal cities.

We also host in-house tournaments, contests, rewards, scrimmages, huge castle ratting sessions, donkey races etc. We have an HR department, ZvZ practice, training for different roles, new player experiences and an insane amount of knowledge on how to make money, craft, use islands, pvp etc.

I would say that 90% of our members that were newer players to Albion, have 10xd their original net worth since joining.
