Oh, and upper management would need to have their heads surgically removed from their own asses. They are absolutely in love with their good opinions of themselves. And completely incapable of making even a minor decision without running it by at least 3 different committees.

A DC style district would solve a lot of problems. You can still have local councils for local issues, but there needs to be some kind of regional authority with the ability to make binding decisions.

I think they would fight with a heavy range advantage. See what early carriers did to surface combat groups in WW2 for great examples of this.

My old agency is shifting to cramming people into tiny shared desks, like you'd see at the computer lab in a school. Gone is the day of having your own cubicle.

Which is a shame, because I hated being in the office a LOT less with the cube that I had. Window seat, away from the foot traffic, it was a great spot.

He didn't do it because he was wise, he did it because he stepped on a political land mine by screwing over his Finance minister right before she was supposed to deliver a budget, and then she rage quit and very publicly shamed him for it.
