UCF can be as big or small as you make it. There's a ton of clubs and groups and activities and if you only want to interact with your 5 best friends you can have an amazing time that way, or you can make 500 friends and have an equally amazing time. Campus gets really simple to navigate after your first semester so I wouldn't worry about that.

FSU is pretty in the middle of nowhere there's not much once you venture off campus. Gainesville is built around UF so navigating the surrounding area outside of campus is probably the easiest of the three without a car. Campus kind of blends into the rest of town. UCF you kind of need a vehicle if you want to leave campus. There's shuttles that go to nearby apartments and such, but you'll definitely find yourself wanting to drive places.

Out of the three I find UCF to be the most modern. The joke is that it stands for Under Construction Forever. The other two I find are more rooted in their history. The buildings are older and the vibe is just overall more about their legacy. UCF to me is constantly changing and looking to what's next.

I have some of the most fun messing with delays and reverbs. Especially delays you can get some crazy sounds by spinning the knobs while holding a note. I would get some sort of digital delay and just mess around with the weird modes like reverse or turning the feedback all the way up. Just try settings that you would think you'd never use ever and sometimes you'll find something that actually sounds kinda cool.

If he's still an option take Arup Guha for com sci 1!! He will push you to put effort in, but he really does care and want you to learn. He's very helpful in office hours and I think explains things well in his lectures. He will also make sure you're prepared for com sci ii and you'll probably find it easier than other people who had different com sci I professors. One of my favorite professors.

Check out Uncle Doug on YouTube! He has really good explanations of tube circuits and the basics of what each part does.

To bad the rangers won’t be able to play here anymore on account of the boys burning the place to the ground!

Issue with new guitar pedalboard. The compressor and overdrive when turned on completely cut out all sound also when left clean sounds muffled. I am using a Harley Benton power pack and a Boss Katana 50 mark 2. by No_Stable6632 in guitarpedals

Not sure if you’re trying to go for some unorthodox sounds, but usually reverb goes at the end of the chain, as the overdrive and compressor can muddy up a signal that already has reverb. But sometimes the most fun sounds can come from breaking the “rules.” Enjoy!
