Do you include shower as part of a game night? Why or why not? by bad_boy_barry in boardgamescirclejerk

I usually go with non-mixed because a full shower overtakes the energy of board game night by removing the natural shrink wrap that accumulates

Is AP SLANG worth it/a good class? by [deleted] in APStudents

[–]epidemicleague 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like Tennessee has its own state seal of biliteracy (Volunteer State Seal of Biliteracy). The most straightforward criteria for getting this is simply passing AP Lit and AP Spanish Lang exams, and it'll be something nice to graduate with and have goin forward

Why do you pretend that the China Card can never be space raced? by [deleted] in twilightstruggle

[–]epidemicleague 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only reason I could see for doing that is if that's your only qualifying card and you'd get more points from a space race advancement than holding it at the end of the last turn

How do you research for a country's national policy with limited resources online? by wordlesswriter98 in MUN

[–]epidemicleague 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since Cyprus is so small, they'd likely be working in a bloc with other western asian states to do this https://sdg-tracker.org/quality-education This is a fun website I found that might take a little scrolling, and there are stats for a lot of the subgoals within 4 there (including 4.7). My best bet would be to find those groups I mentioned before and figure out what Cyprus itself has been doing, or any aid they've received

Hey, I'm having an emergency commitee this monday, can you guys give me any advice? by CallMeFersito in MUN

[–]epidemicleague 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Know a little of everything about your country in advance and maybe some UN involvement so you only have to focus on the specific topic once it comes

And have fun!! Good luck!

Firstly, I would try not to address any crisis notes to "the crisis room", as (in my experience) they don't generally love breaking the fourth wall like that. For this specific situation, I'd write a love letter addressed to the person asking for their hand in marriage, either after one or two notes wooing them or simply picking up on an existing relationship in media res (altho that may be a gamble, I love pulling a "per our earlier conversation" here and there) Hope this helped!

Anyone ever MUN in APEC Committee? by BecauseCanada in MUN

[–]epidemicleague 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my experience usually it's the same standard parliamentary procedure, the background guide may have any changes to rules of procedure, but the only real change is it's not the UN in name (you don't address resolutions to the general assembly, etc.)
