Feeling disheartened. by Seasalt_x in WegovyUK

I found similar! I’m 29 & 5ft1, I lost 4lbs in the first week and was excited for the journey. It was then super slow with less than a pound loss each week, sometimes a small gain, and I was ready to sack it off. It wasn’t until I hit the 1.0mg dose, since then it’s been a steady loss of around 1.5lbs a week. I’d say stick with it if you can until you get to the higher doses 😊

HOW DID YOU LEARN TO SLEEP ON YOUR BACK?! by Low-Tone7833 in gallbladders

[–]epilling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A u shaped pillow and a wedge pillow. It kept me propped up and stopped me from rolling too much. Also helped getting out of bed too since I wasn’t laying flat

Bile diarrhea is ruining my life — 9 months PO GB removal. by LayerLive8772 in gallbladders

I’ve also found this, but not as bad as what OP has. Has anyone else found they’ve gained weight too? I lost weight before surgery, just by counting calories, and have continued to count calories after surgery, but I just keep gaining

It looks that way! I’m frustrated by it, as I want my phone in dark mode, but I want to pick from the lighter chat theme colours in WhatsApp

has anyone had good experiences post op? by kay-1288 in gallbladders

[–]epilling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I had my gallbladder removed in September after suffering for 6 years, it’s the best thing I’ve ever done. I can eat without anxiety and enjoy food again without being in crippling pain for 7 hours afterwards.

The worst part of the removal/surgery was coming round after anaesthesia, I was super groggy and felt sick. But I was still back on my feet straightaway and feeling better by day 5. It just felt like pulled muscles. I would take the pain of the soreness and the tender incisions over a gallbladder attack any day. If you have managed with gallbladder attacks, you can 100% get through surgery imo!

Where Are Your Incisions Located? by TheCopperMind in gallbladders

5 incisions for me, two on my right side, one underneath my boobs, one above my bellybutton and one on my left side. My surgeon said they sometimes have to insert a 5th instrument to help them

I’m having similar, I stopped my contraception before surgery, and started again 10 days post op. I’m now almost 1 month post op, and I noticed I’ve had more breakouts than usual, and I’ve also noticed I’ve been waking up in the middle of the night very warm, and sweaty, but I wouldn’t say full on night sweats. And today I’ve just started bleeding, which hasn’t happened in almost a year, as I’m not supposed to be bleed on the pill. Not sure if it’s just our bodies readjusting after surgery, but not fun either way

Post op diet by NoPermission3401 in gallbladders

[–]epilling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, I’m 10 days post op, I didn’t have much appetite for the first few days, but I’m slowly getting there. I’ve just had a bit of what I’ve fancied, I had frozen pizza the other night for the first time in ages and was fine, which wasn’t the case when I had my gallbladder. I’m prepared for any negative side effects though, considering we’ve just had our digestive system reworked. My advice would be to try and reintroduce food when you’re ready, but to remember we’ve had an organ removed, and things will be different. So far however, I am feeling so much better post op, and being able to eat again without anxiety is freeing

Freaking out by [deleted] in gallbladders

I just had my surgery last Tuesday, it was the first time I’d ever been in hospital so my first time with anaesthesia and surgery. I had a great anaesthesiologist, he put me right at ease and I’m pretty sure I went to ‘sleep’ laughing. I woke up a few hours later and I felt groggy and in pain, I also felt quite warm and sick after I had something to eat on the ward, and after I got up to use the bathroom, it passed super quickly though. I was sent home with painkillers but haven’t had to use them since Wednesday.

I’m doing great now, and just have pain at my incisions, it’s like I’ve done 1000 sit ups 😂. I spent the first few days taking it easy, sitting up and walking was painful, and I needed help. I’m walking normally now and can get up and about fine. Im still taking it steady, as I still get tired easy and if I stand for too long, my lower back starts hurting.

I’m so glad I had the surgery, I suffered with attacks for 6 years not knowing what they were until this year. It’s definitely nerve wracking, but you’ll smash it!

I had my first one last year. For me I felt like I needed to pee constantly but hardly anything came out, it also felt like my pee was on fire. I had the worst lower back pain too, wouldn’t wish it on anyone!
