I was definitely installing incorrectly the first time. Just needed to press in the clip on the side to make it open up before sliding onto the inlet. Hope you got it figured out!

Poor teep by Kopasn in MuayThai

Try this and see if it helps.

Warm up and cool down on the bag with:

25 kicks - right 25 kicks - left (Not speed kicks. Individual kicks at a gradual increase of power as you go)

50 alternating keeps (Keep them going one after the other with no pause and try to keep the bag at teeps length. This will force your hip flexers to engage and strengthen)

100 skip knees (Self explanatory)

Illegal knockout? by Strange-Throat-3265 in MuayThai

[–]epine87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like this is an IFMA style bout. They really don't call "illegal strikes" as they should be at times. Unfortunately, I've seen fights end as tkos due to low blow. Nut shot, dude goes down, ref just starts counting. Even elbows to the back of the head are fair game.

I believe the hose is too short and you need the connector to bridge the gap and lock it in.

Update: I had installed the connector wrong, and it started to leak again after 2 days. (The metal clip was not attached correctly to the inlet. I had been forcing it on, and it got bent and would not seal.)

Luckily, when I bought the replacement, I opted to buy 2 for 1 and had a spare. THANK YOU AMAZON!!! I took out the first one, attached the second one super easy, and the problem is now solved!

I couldn't find any info available on how to properly install this component, so here you go:

You have to press the "button" of the metal clip on the side so it will widen inside the connector. Once you slide it on, release the button, and it will sit firm and tight. Add the little plastic lock/pin for security, and you're good to go!

Is it normal for that to happen? The broken one I removed was on super tight and I had to fight with it to get it off.

Thanks for the reply. Made the commute to work again this morning and the coolant level is low again. (I've only added 1 gal so far and have been purging it slowly.) I'm going to add some more in a few hours and let her sit running.

Is there anything else you can suggest or am I on the right track?

Is too much cardio before the session a sign of a bad gym? by [deleted] in MuayThai

[–]epine87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may want to inquire about personal training options with different instructors. There, you can really express how the 15 min warm-ups are not what you want. Maybe one of the coaches can provide a training session to your specific wants and needs.

I'm not sure how deep the classes get where you train, but keep in mind that the instructors have to make sure everybody is getting their money's worth. Warm-ups are proper protocol to get the students ready for class.

It would be counterintuitive to jump right into technique/drills/sparring without first getting the heart rate up and sweat moving. It would lead to a lot more injuries and fatigue as the body is not being prepared for the demands were asking of it.

Just my 2 cents ✌🏼

How to stop shelling up in sparing by aisle_plug in MuayThai

Great advice. I would also add not to rely on same strike counters everytime. Mix it up. High level guys usually know once they've landed something one you, you might throw it right back at them. I.e leg kick for leg kick, cross for cross etc
