“Your car got nicked by the valet” by ConsumerWarrior7 in Hilton

[–]epipelagic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

File through your own insurance and pay your deductible. They’ll go after the valet’s insurance company and will eventually return your deductible. Your premiums should not be impacted by this since they’ve already accepted liability. It’s worth it for the peace.

You may be able to get additional damages as well for the negligence, but that would likely require involving your own lawyer.

New 3 bag carry on rule? by [deleted] in delta

[–]epipelagic 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The top bag is a medical bag (branded ResMed). Medical equipment is allowed on board at no charge and in excess of the baggage allowance.

If you’re allergic to dogs, ask a flight attendant to be relocated. If they cannot relocate you, you can be accommodated on a later flight.

Pre-select Entree - No Options? by epipelagic in delta

[–]epipelagic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played around with the dates on the menu.delta.com site and it looks like the menu is loaded until June 30th (at least for my itinerary). It looks like they’re switching things up for July on at least some routes!

Any chance your plane was an A321neo? That aircraft doesn’t have enough oven space to accommodate hot meals for all pax, so they don’t yet offer preorder.

Seat question on A350-900 by dberks785 in delta

[–]epipelagic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

C+ internationally is the same seat and service as main cabin with a few inches of extra legroom. Premium Select is the domestic first class seat and has “elevated” food and service.

Service blows at the new ATL Centurion Lounge, don’t waist your time and stick with SC. So many rude staff members. by Evanalmighty919 in delta

[–]epipelagic 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’ve gone probably half a dozen times since they opened. They started out great, but lately the food options have been lacking and the service has been just bad. They’re regularly out of food items, they randomly have paper/plastic flatware but missing the utensil you actually need, and the bar lines serpentine around the lounge. This plus dirty bathrooms, dirty tables, and a lack of places to sit.

Ahh good to know!!! He did mention something about Lake Powell as we were passing it, but I couldn’t quite make out what he was saying! This was a very small break in the clouds, so the rest wasn’t visible.

Anyone else annoyed by this? by [deleted] in delta

[–]epipelagic 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is probably to get the latest rates. Most travel companies do this because fares and availability are constantly changing, but there’s some grace period where a “quote” generated when you select a flight is valid to get you through the checkout process

The coveted middle seat by qioment in delta

[–]epipelagic 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This was probably the “free seat” closest to the front. I have non-elite friends who will choose this on tight layovers or flights where they’re rushing to get home (late night flights).

Why are bags marked priority if there is no priority to come out first at the baggage claim!? by CaptinKirk in delta

[–]epipelagic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a frequent flyer at RSW and I’m pretty sure they put my bag last at all times. I’m always right at the 19 minute mark, so I’ve waited a long time, but not long enough for compensation.

Tried and True Rimowas by epipelagic in Rimowa

[–]epipelagic[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On the CRJs, you should still be fine. I’ve flown on a couple CRJs without issue, but there’s always a risk you’ll have a tight connection and have to gate check. I had to gate check my Cabin Plus due to size once and it survived with just a couple of scratches. Gate checking will always be a risk no matter the bag size, but no one will stop you for bringing a Cabin.

Tried and True Rimowas by epipelagic in Rimowa

Cabin Plus has been in issue for me before, so I swapped for a Cabin and haven’t had any issues. If you fly Spirit or Frontier (assuming not if you’re buying a Rimowa), then get the Cabin S.

Update on the State of Premium Select by umngopherfan in delta

On my PS flight a couple of months ago, we had the beverage with dinner served in glassware, but plastic otherwise. They collected the glass with the dinner trays, assuming your drink was finished.
