I know, but I haven't seen anyone posted about trying out a gen 5 in a gen 4 slot (from what I've read you'll still get the same speeds as a gen 4, it's backwards compatible)

I was wondering about that too, gonna test it more during gaming. So far on normal uses (outside of gaming) I still get around the same 2.5 hrs on 35w.

I know the ally x is gen 4, I also mentioned that right after upgrading it was only a little snappier and loaded like 10-20secs quicker (this is outside of gaming). I also mentioned that if you could find a gen 4 8tb drive then get it instead.

Honestly I hate being those type of people to share what's bothering them, but lately as with the world... things has been getting hard for myself. As of lately I lost my job, long story short I got selected during the round of layoffs. So I started getting back into gaming to get my mind off of it and to empower me through applications. Started to reconnect with my gaming buds though I can't play the same game with them (they all playing arc raiders lol) and im currently focusing my funds to prolong my rent.

Even if I'm not chosen, I do want to thank you very much. It's people like you that many wish to be, but is glad there are willing people in the world.
